An example of true leadership between people who worked for peace and resolution, not war and division for narrow political or economic gain.
"“Truly remarkable human rights reforms have happened under his (Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Abiy Ahmed) leadership”
Kudos to both leaders of Ethiopia (Ahmed) and Eritrea (President Isaias Afwerki) for their courage, integrity and understanding of what makes a life worth living for their own and other peoples…

If only we in America had leaders of such commitment, stature, and integrity of purpose for the Common Good as these; alas we do not…

Now the real question is … Is he worthy of being awarded the Right Livelihood Award?

The Davos crowd loves this fellow. He’s a neoliberal and privatizer. Stop the hagiography.

“efforts to achieve peace and international cooperation, and in particular for his decisive initiative to resolve the border conflict with neighbouring Eritrea.”

Since Eritrea and Ethiopia have been at each other’s throats, these efforts by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed should be an inspiration to other areas of conflict-dare we hope this could happen between Israel-Palestine? Between Pakistan-India?
