This entire Cuba punishment thing has been going on far, far too long. The USA resentment, hostility, and blind hatred is ANOTHER blight on the soul, official soul, of America. Apparantly the USA govt. really did not like when Castro nationalized most of the foreign businesses in Cuba, which in a way could be similar to what the USA has done to many countries when coming in, militarily, to extract any resources said country may have that US big business wants.Personally, I think it is a crime of the highest order what the USA is, and has been doing to Cuba since 1898.

yeah, the renewed US persecution of Cuba shows those “progressives” who didn’t help Clinton win in November 2016 sold out Cubans too (as well as immigrants, gays, environmentalists, pro-choice advocates, labor etc) - we can only hope they learned from that foolishness

Hate and punishment are the only method of operation this president applies.

how many americans know that we supplied Castro to overthrow Batista?
That Fidel, after winning, came to USA for food aid and we refused?

The miami cuban community wants their plantations, stores, homes back.

Medea, bless your heart! I would go down there myself, but right I’m trying to do to my diabetes what Trump & Co. are trying to do to the Pink Tide. May one of us succeed.

If socialism is sooo bad, why not just let stupid little Cuba - or Venezuela - do its thing? You would think that would just mean less competition, wouldn’t it? But, Nooooo! The Fascist Mafias want their haciendas back, and the Republicans (and a lot of Democrats) are pandering to them for votes.

Boy, no shit. Ridiculous.

I am not at all convinced that progressives were responsible for Clinton’s loss. If it was anything it was her total lack of a platform beyond, more of the same.

Yup, but weren’t most of them getting the good life for being friends with Batista? We supported a revolution and once again failed to follow through and lost a friend.

With the support of Cubans who emigrated to the US…Ironic.

Waiting for the next person to chime in that Trump does this because he a Russian agent.
