Flowers from Guantanamo

Flowers from Guantanamo

Kathy Kelly

Here in Kabul, young friends with the Afghan Peace Volunteers look forward to learning more about “The Tea Project” in late December, when Aaron Hughes arrives, an artist, a U.S. military veteran, and a core member of Iraq Veterans Against War. He’ll carry with him 20 plaster replicas of a standard-issue, factory-made Styrofoam cup.

Empire treated these 220 people as pieces of gravel impeding the grinding of Empire's gears. It will be interesting and, I'm sure, quite disheartening to learn who these people really were. Brazenly disappearing people in plain view--Empire must be so proud.

I hope everyone clicks on the "Tea Project" link. Kathy Kelly is an American treasure that we can share with the whole world and be proud.

Now when did Obama say he would close the Guantanamo Bay torture camp?
