The EU and NATO nations should have refused to get involved in yet another American disaster. No one can argue that the influx of refugees isn't a direct result of US wars and interventions in the Middle East. The sooner the US get the H out of the Middle East, the sooner these floods of refugees will slow to a trickle.

The redrawing and partition of the Middle East from the Eastern Mediterranean shores of Lebanon and Syria to Anatolia (Asia Minor), Arabia, the Persian Gulf, and the Iranian Plateau responds to broad economic, strategic and military objectives, which are part of a long-standing Anglo-American and Israeli agenda in the region.

The Middle East has been conditioned by outside forces into a powder keg that is ready to explode with the right trigger, possibly the launching of Anglo-American and/or Israeli air raids against Iran and Syria. A wider war in the Middle East could result in redrawn borders that are strategically advantageous to Anglo-American interests and Israel.

NATO-garrisoned Afghanistan has been successfully divided, all but in name. Animosity has been inseminated in the Levant, where a Palestinian civil war is being nurtured and divisions in Lebanon agitated. The Eastern Mediterranean has been successfully militarised by NATO. Syria and Iran continue to be demonised by the Western media, with a view to justifying a military agenda. In turn, the Western media has fed, on a daily basis, incorrect and biased notions that the populations of Iraq cannot co-exist and that the conflict is not a war of occupation but a “civil war” characterised by domestic strife between Shiites, Sunnis and Kurds.

Attempts at intentionally creating animosity between the different ethno-cultural and religious groups of the Middle East have been systematic. In fact, they are part of a carefully designed covert intelligence agenda.

Even more ominous, many Middle Eastern governments, such as that of Saudi Arabia, are assisting Washington in fomenting divisions between Middle Eastern populations. The ultimate objective is to weaken the resistance movement against foreign occupation through a “divide and conquer strategy” which serves Anglo-American and Israeli interests in the broader region.

Croatians have always been a thuggish lot - the redneck-toughs of the Slavic world. Hopefully, some can find refuge in Serbia - a much kinder poeple - at least all the ones I've met have been.

The Serbs manged to bury quite a few Muslims in the early '90s.

It is absolutely time that the USA took on responsibility for alleviating the problem, which is a massive migration that will have a major demographic impact.

In just the past two days the New York Times has produced 89 articles on 'migrants' (who I call Middle East war refugees) detailing what countries they are moving through, what situations they face in each country, the policies being defined, the status of their camps, the paths they traveled, the numbers of migrants, the UN and EU meetings about them, the economic impact of migrants, migrants' means of travel, and almost every conceivable aspects of this human crisis --- except for one thing:

There has been absolutely no mention, discussion, or reporting on the question of what actually CAUSED this massive migration of people out of the war torn countries of the Middle East and into Europe --- all of which is the direct result of the devastation of wars started by the Disguised Global Crony-Capitalist EMPIRE, which is HQed in, and 'poses' as, our former country.

Not since the Nazi Empire started the Second World War of Empires in Europe has there been such a massive flow of war refugees, but at least then we were fully informed by the Times what Empire was causing all the human suffering.

[Currently there are over 11 thousand articles on the Google search "migrants Europe", including comprehensive reporting by BBC with maps and stories about the flow of migrants from the Middel East into Europe, but not a word about the CAUSE]

Yes, George, and which problem is totally caused by the Disguised Global Empire centered in the U.S.

#8

It is disturbing how skillfully the issue has become a refugee problem rather than a regime change problem and somehow the Europeans have become the problem for not accepting refugees, not those countries who have caused the refugee problem. Of course it is the media in the countries that have caused the problem who have shaped the false narrative. Can we imagine any of the major newspapers or news conglomerates doing anything else. The would have to make a one hundred eightly degree turn, which they have no intention of doing.

Hschm, the "media of the country that caused the problem" is really the media/propaganda sector of the Disguised Global Crony-Capitalist Empire, which has captured, controls, and now fully "Occupies" our former country.

This first and last truly Global (and hidden, like a cancer) Empire is an "Empire of Illusion" Hedges, an "Empire of Chaos" Escobar, an 'Empire of Money' Lessig, an "Empire of Capital" Wood, an Empire of "Global Capitalism and the Crisis of Humanity" Robinson, and a highly integrated (but well disguised) six-sectored; corporate, financial, militarist, media/propaganda, extra-legal, and most dangerously dual-party Vichy-political facade of phony democracy, which remains almost totally undiagnosed as the cancerous tumor that it is -- except by a few dozens of public intellectuals and academics of 'Empire-studies' such as; Hardt, Negri, Harvey, Blum, Berman, Chomsky, Wolin, Robinson, et al.

As Zygmunt Bauman hauntingly puts it, “In the case of an ailing social order, the absence of an adequate diagnosis…is a crucial, perhaps decisive, part of the disease.”13

Berman, Morris 2007 "Dark Ages America; The Final Phase of Empire"

"The U.S. state is a key point of condensation for pressures from dominant groups around the world to resolve problems of global capitalism and to secure the legitimacy of the system overall. In this regard, “U.S.” imperialism refers to the use by transnational elites of the U.S. state apparatus to continue to attempt to expand, defend, and stabilize the global capitalist system. We are witness less to a “U.S.” imperialism per se than to a global capitalist imperialism. We face an empire of global capital , headquartered, for evident historical reasons, in Washington."

Robinson, William 2014 "Global Capitalism and the Crisis of Humanity"

Look back through history to around 1914-1916 and you will see how European powers have been playing the Middle East for a very long time. The USA's stupidity (to be polite) about Iraq was the final straw that broke the camel's back (no pun intended).
