WASHINGTON - Today, forty-two organizations submitted a letter to Congress urging them to keep the 40-year old crude oil export ban in place. The letter was sent just ahead of the U.S. House of Representatives vote to repeal the ban, and just after an underwhelming vote in the Senate Banking Committee to move their version of the bill along.
Forty-two organizations vs. Koch Bros...guess who will win? He who has the money has the authority sublime; the power; wins. The Kochs have billion$$$ to make with lifting of the export ban and their tar sands investments in Canada will pay off. They can process the gunk in their TX refineries and export the heavy crude to all the island nations in the Caribbean and elsewhere at huge profits.
