France Extends Freedom-Threatening State of Emergency

Despite widespread criticism over its threats to fundamental rights, French lawmakers on Tuesday voted to extend the state of emergency for an additional three months.

The 212 to 31 vote by the National Assembly extends the powers, imposed following the November terrorist attacks, until May 26.


Prime Minister Manuel Valls sounds like a man back in the 1930s who needed extra powers to protect the German people.


Hitler almost succeeded in taking over the world --
This time they will not make the mistake of leaving any country capable of
interrupting their fascist drive.

We have been sitting watching this right wing take over of countries -- including
our own since at least the McCarthy Era --
Their agenda was being set even before the end of WWII.
