From #DayWithoutLatinos to Rapid Response Teams, Deportation Resistance Builds

Deirdre Fulton, staff writer

From work strikes to legal campaigns, multiple efforts have been mounted to resist the Trump administration's immigration crackdown, which has instilled fear and panic in communities across the United States.

It seems that the vile and blustering behavior of our 'so-called president' is acting as a catalyst for protests that should have occurred years ago. Nothing like an A-hole to get us on our feet!

#3

"This Administration is just getting started and we anticipate much worse." Senior Attorney Lee Gelernt.

Folks: We cannot allow this to " get worse".

#4

It sounds like for undocumented immigrants there are really bad places to live like Milwaukee County, which appears to be the opposite of a sanctuary city.

The Department of Homeland Security can target our friends, neighbors, loved ones who have minor offenses, or no convictions at all. Folks the Department of Homeland Security is a sham, scam, cancer of an organization forced on us citizens by the Cheney/Bush regime.

Agreed.

CD quoted WaPo. Italics mine.

The Washington Post wrote:

Officials said the raids targeted known criminals, but they also netted some immigrants without criminal records, an apparent departure from similar enforcement waves during the Obama administration. Last month, Trump substantially broadened the scope of who the Department of Homeland Security can target to include those with minor offenses or no convictions at all.

According to RT nearly half the 2.5 million deported by Obama had no criminal records. And then there are the thousands of women and children in detention centers along the border, put there under the Obama administration.

Where were the protests?

Then we had a smooth talker with a carefully orchestrated image.
Now we have a Thug president who trumpets his malicious behavior.
Apparently he's what was needed.

Apparently he was what's needed. Unbelievable that so many people are so easily duped by a 'smooth orator' and the complicit MSM. Though protests were surely needed then, at least they are happening now - BIGLY!
