GOP Caves to NRA Pressure As House Democrats Pass Updated Violence Against Women Act

Jessica Corbett, staff writer

The vast majority of House Republicans caved to pressure from the gun lobby on Thursday and refuse to back Democrats' successful effort to extend the Violence Against Women Act for five years because of a new provision that would make it harder for domestic abusers to acquire guns.

Who is the so-called Democrat that voted against the bill? We need to support a challenger.

As always, the NRA wants all terrorists, abusers and other violent criminals to have guns.

Well, of course! Otherwise, the “good guys” with guns wouldn’t have anyone against whom to stand their ground. No bad guys with guns means no heroes with guns. Then, what would America be?

Never let reason interfere with a good script.

Collin Peterson of Minnesota-07 is the scum sucker who voted for the continued abuse and murder of women. He loves guns so much he decided to paint a target on his political career.

I just read about him. He’s an anomaly–a Democrat in a very strongly Republican district.Very rural. They support him because he gets money for the farmers there. If he leaves or is forced out, he’ll be replaced by a even more conservative Republican. No good choices there.

Despite teasers throughout, is Common Dreams reluctant of actually using the name of the Reptard in Democratic cloaking who earned the right to a public mocking and and all the shame his actions deserve? Representative Collin Peterson, temporarily holding a seat in Minnesota’s 7th district.

Any Democrat who votes on issues like this with Republicans is already a more of a problem than any part of the solution to our nation’s problems. Better to lose as a loyal Democrat than win and continue to vote with Republicans on issues like this. It is never a good thing to support people who vote against the party on issues like this.
