Haitian Elections Cancelled As Popular Dissent Against Ruling Party Intensifies

Amid energetic protests fueled by shared criticisms from people in the streets and opposition political parties that the nation's political process is awash with fraud, the ruling government of Haiti on Friday cancelled national elections scheduled for Sunday by saying it could not guarantee the safety of voters.

So whatever happened to the Clinton's Foundation helping out down there? or is it part of the pervasive corruption?

I think this is Clinton's help.
No way the US ever allows those poor souls to have a country of their own. We don't even have reasons why anymore, it just seems to be a tradition. Like Halloween or something.

"The international community" (US and transnational corporate elite) has precisely the same contempt for democracy in Haiti as it does for democracy "at home."
