Fascism in the US didn’t start with Donald Trump. He and his criminal cabal are just the face of unadulterated fascism. Why don’t the pugs and corporate dims make it official and marry. They’ve been in bed with each other for a long time. The way to fascism in the US was paved with the PNAC, the Patriot Act, and the NDAA. 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue is where the people’s enemies live…
Yes, and from my perspective, Amerikan, Fascism was completed this month in 1963. Trump is just the inevitable result.
The Revolution WAS televised, back then? But, I guess only a few po’ ass folks had been desperate enough to swipe us up some “They Live” shades, to SEE what we were looking at?
I’d always figured that look on Shrub’s face meant, “… but, Pa!”
Very long trail on this. But my BS alarm went off on full red alert with the 9/11 event followed so closely by that “Patriot Act”, an over 1000 page document that Congress passed with only one brave dissenting vote. I was upset that no critical mass of people rebelled over the coup of 2000, when it was so obvious it was the real deal. Then, when Congress began sniffing into the bona fides of said election, up came 9/11 and the Patriot Act. I went and re-watched the collapse of the towers, frame by frame. No deviation of the pancaking of the floors. That’s a controlled demo. Did I mention that a group of geologists from upstate New York had their offices raided by Feds because their seismographs showed a marker for an underground explosion before the vibrations from the collapse itself. And no search warrant, either.
Our massive lack of courage and curiosity has doomed us to a very dark future. In an informed polity, we would not have accepted either the coup or the probable false flag event.
The fact our corporately owned Congress is continuing the “Patriot Act” means a lot of nasty things. Extinction Rebellion will be termed a terrorist group. Any actions meant to protest egregious actions of our government will mean the protesters will be labeled terrorists and thereby disappear.
Climate change will definitely end this creaky experiment at “democracy”, which was set up as an oligarchy out of the gate. Hopefully, whoever survives will rebuild an evolved human culture.
As I have pointed out a time or two before, the “Duopoly” consists of two sock puppets owned and run by the Oligarchy. Both puppets are well paid, and do what they are told. The Oligarchy doesn’t care which one wins as they will both do as they are told, to keep the profits coming in and, keep We the People poor and in the dark.
**If Bernie and the crew can keep trying to emulate FDR, We the People may be able to purge the fascists from our government and make Lincoln’s prayer a reality, that “government of the people, by the people, and for the people shall not perish from the earth.”
**Keep up the good work, Bernie and the crew!

If you would like to see the first time this was used, look at German history. The Enabling Act [German Patriot Act] was in the wings. The SS burned the Reichstag [German 911] and blamed a communist. The next day the Enabling Acts were adopted and Germans no longer had any freedom or privacy. Heil Hitler!

Our militarized police forces given military weaponry by the Feds has another name - Police State. Nov 1963 was the beginning of the coup and the entry point for Fascism in the US. Trump is just the most bald faced expression of that today. The Dem’s have been the same for years. The only difference is that the D’s like Clinton, Obama, Pelosi, Shumer, et al did/do this fascist shit behind closed doors.
I can’t argue with your larger thesis, but I’d suggest there are a lot of oligarchic/fascistic inflection points before 11/22/63. To name just a few: 1913, with the founding of the Federal Reserve and the imposition of withholding for individual income taxes; 1933, with the “Banker’s Plot” against FDR and the New Deal (in which Prescott Bush figured prominently); and 1947, with the creation of the CIA.
Proud of my Sen. Feingold of the time being the lone dissenting vote. He was right, this was a gut reaction vote to pass a patriot act, not a thought out one. I wonder how many read it before voting on it.
I’m fully aware of the “inflection” points that you bring up. I’m also aware of the Industrialist/Banker/Elite/eugenic/Nazi/war profiteers cabal that emerged in WW!, got really going in WWII, and afterwords wove the whole fascist program into the very fabric of the USA. The very public arrival of the very Hitler like police state we have now is just another brick in the same damn wall.
Ah-Yup! Keep your eyes on this one, folks. But how much do you wanna bet this will NOT be a topic during tonight’s “debate”?
The Democrats need this disclaimer:
“Lose all hope all ye who enter here”.
Edward Snowden’s book is a great book. Harry Potter for real. Permanent Record.
Well, I am no expert either.I spent some time in the military, years ago and therefore tend to think seriously about it. For years the US has worked on stealth. Right now it is over weighted because it could be overturned on a dime. China and Russia know all about this and have been working on it for years.
We cannot afford to trade one US soldier for one Chinese soldier. We would be out of people in six months.
The nuke option is out of the question.
The $150,000,000 stealth drone, that was shot down last summer, was shot down by a domestically “made in Iran” system. Some say its value was $7,000.
I would rather see the demise of the horrific USA Patriot Act than impeachment of a horrific President!
Well yes,Jack London writes an interesting piece of fiction based on fascist take over of the United States, over 100 years ago, in this book.
This interview with amazing. I finally have a much clearer idea of what Snowden actually revealed and why the deep state wanted him silenced. What was particularly interesting to me was what Pelosi knew, when she knew it, and what she did to help cover Congresses ass in all of the shit with the revelation of Steller Wind. AND a lot of these activities go way back to what happened to MLK too. Thanks for posting this.
Ah-Yup. Not the slightest mention, much less a question like, “What would you do, Candidate X, about this clear violation of the First Amendment?” Hardly any mention of Bernie in the after-blabber, either – but who would expect otherwise from the MSM.
Good idea, but I would prefer both.
Live long and prosper.
