These vaccines are not the cure the world still needs. They are barely stop gaps. Biden’s actual job is to have enough for every American willing to take it and no one knows how many doses that will turn out to be.
By the time a significant number of people have taken boosters variants may have made it if not irrelevant much less effective than expected because a lot of Americans keep spreading the virus and facilitating mutations. Most of out of right wing ideology, many out of greed, and some becuase of wishful thinking.
Pharmaceutical companies still holding the world hostage now should be treated like war profiteers. Imprisoned and fined even more than they made.
I do not know why Biden hasn’t ramped us his own vaccine production scheme if he intends to “arm” the world. That is what a war president would do. That is what a “leader of the free world” would do. It is time for Biden to decide if he is either of those things or just a houseboy for wealthy industrialists and speculators.
