Hillary’s Hubris: Only Tell the Rich for $5000 a Minute!

Hillary’s Hubris: Only Tell the Rich for $5000 a Minute!

Ralph Nader

There is a growing asymmetry between the media’s mounting demands for Donald Trump to release his tax returns (Hillary has done so) and their diminishing demands that Hillary Clinton release the secret transcripts of her $5000 per minute speeches before closed-door banking conferences and other business conventions.

"Now people are told to stop complaining when candidates such as Hillary Clinton tell the gilded few what she and they don’t want many of us to hear."

Certainly they should stop complaining. The unwashed should just go shopping and then watch the tv propaganda that their hardworking betters have prepared for them.

That these trouble-making proles should question the content of speeches their overworked rulers make to each other at private meetings is outrageous.

Next they'll want their elected officials to speak the truth.

Is there no justice for conniving US politicians?

Nader's questions should have been pursued vigorously by the press long ago. Sadly, mainstream media have abdicated their responsibilities in exchange for the comfort of being stenographers for the powerful.

Under these conditions, Clinton may stand for anything, no matter how damaging, and get a free pass on the basis of existentially being not-Trump.

"Her supporters shouted" USA!", "USA!" to drown out the Sanders shout outs for Peace and Justice."

As is mentioned on the cover of the widely suppressed "JFK and the Unspeakable" by James W.Douglass :
"He Wanted Peace, They Marked Him for Death"

For Sanders, it was "He Wanted the 99% to be Served, They Marked Him (and his Movement) for Political Death"

No Democrats
No Republicans
No More

DISCLOSURE:....ROCKEFELLER INITIATIVE.
Hillary has problems with being honest with the Public:
1. Email Server.
2. Big Banker Transcripts.
3. TPP-- her sincere position.
4...there has been talk of Disclosure and that she would release as much information as possible on the ET presence and government knowledge as would be possible....... These examples give certain indications as how truthful and how far she would go......

She would certainly release as much information that would benefit her and her Corporate Partners....thus again placing humanity and the American public at great risk.....We are dealing with two very dangerous individuals....for President.

That The Donald hosted a TV show in the first place should be a strong indicator that his net worth is not all that he claims. Why is this issue such a mystery? Common sense should lead one to the conclusion that a carnival barker is in it for the money (and, in The Donald's case, the attention). His net worth acrobatics aside (they are surely based upon "yuuugggeellyy" exaggerated assumptions) his "candidacy" is yet another cancer on the "reputation" of America (at least that part that doesn't have the capability to go BOOM).

Thanks Mr Nader for all you (try to) do! Ever a voice for the people!

"Where Trump’s White House is seen as utterly unpredictable, Hillary’s White House is utterly predictable: more Wall Street, more military adventures. As Senator and Secretary of State she has never seen a weapons system or a war that she didn’t support. Remember her singular pressure to attack Libya over the objections of then Secretary of Defense Robert Gates who asked, “What happens after the regime is overthrown?”

Hillary Clinton will continue her function, her role as agent for wealth and power and damn the 99% and Mother Earth!

The press/media in America have entirely abdicated their responsibilities to a free republic - bought-out and/or sold-off like our Public Airwaves to become parrots, repeating verbatim any claim or outright lie from politicians, government , military, or corporate interests - usually no opposition viewpoint to the propaganda or independent analysis, even of obvious fabrications or distortions - gotta keep those profits rolling-in!

"It is the job of the Fourth Estate to act as a check and a restraint on the others, to illumine the dark corners of Ministries, to debunk the bureaucrat, to throw often unwelcome light on the measures and motives of our rulers. ‘News’, as Hearst once remarked, ‘is something which somebody wants suppressed: all the rest is advertising’. That job is an essential one and it is bound to be unpopular; indeed, in a democracy, it may be argued that the more unpopular the newspapers are with the politicians the better they are performing their most vital task."
– Brian R. Roberts from a October 29, 1955 article in the London periodical “Time & Tide”

The only thing that keeps me from voting for Trump is his uneven SCOTUS appointments.

At least he has financed his campaign with his own $$, flies on his own plane and isn't owned by the Saudis and China.

#13

Un-freaking-believable.
Yet, so believable

#14

Trump is a prisoner of his own mind and that's far worse then being owned by the Saudis or China.

Hillary is a flat out liar and thief and that's easy to deal with.
Trump is a lunatic and is libel to do anything at any time for whatever reason or for no reason at all.

Nobody in their right mind should vote for either of these two reprobates.

For every piece, such as this one, from Ralph Nader, I'm sure there will be more in the genre of Prof.Adolph Reed Jr.'s "Vote for the Lying Neoliberal Warmonger: It’s Important," to follow. This is the most bizarre campaign of my lifetime, a campaign in which "thinkers" ask that people ignore their own moral judgements and vote the contrary, after all voting is merely some kind of "instrumental" activity, not important for movement building.

Let us hope that floating around out there is a stray copy of those Goldman-Sachs speech transcripts, or a privately made audio or video recording, being held for release at a time when it will do the most damage to Clinton's campaign - like mid-October. I wish that it exists in all of the documents that Julian Assange says Wikileaks still has to release about her. Please let it happen. The voters are entitled to know EVERYTHING possible about her and what she truly thinks and believes before they commit to making her POTUS. #NeverHillary. Stein/Baraka 2016!

Good article and videos by Nader. Can any force in the world rescue us from this cackling witch? Nixon was forced out of office, but the government was less corrupt then. The legislature and the courts were functional. The government had lost its vigor by the time Reagan got away with Iran-Contra, a breech of trust and duty much worse than Watergate. Clinton got an impeachment scare, of course. He was guilty of some tabloid stuff but got off anyway, causing impeachment to lose credibility as a process. Now we've got to deal with Bill's creepy wife. Who can save us? Hackers? Can someone hack the transcripts of her speeches to the bankers? Probably she's already had Debbie Wasserman Schultz eat the paper copies, but can the e-records be hacked? Supposedly the FBI has recovered the files she deleted from her private/public servers......she has FBI Director Comey in her pocket, but couldn't a nerd somewhere hack the data and throw some water on this witch?

The Powell Doctrine was a little too late to protect Nixon but just in time to protect Raygun.

All that Bill Clinton's token impeachment did was make it harder for Gore to get votes in 2000. Clinton still managed to push through a boatload of regressive legislation during his final year in office.

Obama's top priority between now and November is to prevent a Hillary Clinton indictment.

Obama's top priority between November and Janauary is signing TPP.

Nothing says intelligence more than mangled language!

You either meant incisive or insightful.

#23

You're talking about the neocons and centrists who control the Democratic Party via the DLC.

I have pointed out in the past that there is no better strategy for eradicating social values than to have it appear that there are two antithetical parties when both serve Big Money.

That some pretend to be Progressives or left-leaning while obliging the DLC in any and all ways is hardly an indictment of the Left.

Nothing and no one with True Leftist values is allowed into centers of power in the U.S., neither given face time in the MSM.

Everything is essentially being re-branded in ways that mask the true essence and identity of the thing itself.

There's another matter that is FAR more important than the likes of Hillary! See this: http://guymcpherson.com/2016/08/the-politics-and-science-of-our-demise/
