Contrast this to the booming stock market. Eco-Socialism or this barbarism.

Please don’t use this headline because the real number is 1 in 4 or 1 in 5 and that was before Coronavirus and Trump.

(for the math challenged, that is a higher poverty level than 1 in 6)

So its undoubtedly much higher than that now.

Get it?

And in other news, Trump is celebrating the assassination of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh. How utterly insane this is!!

Our Meeting just dropped $10,000 on our neighborhood food pantries and soup kitchens. They might be sending a bit more but I missed the end of that meeting.

A real government would be heavily subsidizing the soup kitchens but we may not have a real government right at this moment.

Remember that most food banks rely on donations from other working people. The people still working are hurting too and should be commended for the help they do provide.

One thing that always bothered me is how grocery stores suggest they care for the hungry because they have those bins up front where people can donate food for those in need. That food is still bought and paid for. it costs the grocery store little to provide those bins while still keeping those revenues flowing in. It a win win for them. Bob might have lost his job so can no longer buy groceries but Jane will spend 30 percent more each week on Groceries so she can drop some in that bin.

The Grocery store (read wal-mart) gives the illusion that they care and are pitching in to help out. Ask the Waltons to pay their workers a bit more so the workers can afford to eat and they scream bloody murder.

So a few people get a little peckish, at least Nancy didn’t make Trump look good.

Only a People’s Party will do.

And Jeff Bezos does just what with his billions? And the Waltons…

If you aren’t in the process of establishing a garden, you are foolish. If you do not have available land, then start a cooperative. Relying on charity to feed your family is walking a tightrope, without a net.

I am wishing I had more to give to the poor now. How can some people be so blind that they don’t see how horrible a situation this is.

Jeremy Bentham argued that 'even in the best of times the great mass of citizens will most probably possess few resources other than their daily labour and, consequently, be always near indigence'. As long as working man was near indigence, hunger would remain an effective tool to goad him to labour. Bentham argued that an important task of government was to ensure conditions of deprivation, thereby guaranteeing that hunger would [be a constant motivation to work].

When I give food to the poor, they call me a saint. When I ask why the poor have no food, they call me a communist.

Thank you for another soulful post. Grocers are also asking people who are checking out to round up their bill with the difference going to charities.

According to HHS numbers and the dept of health, over half the children in public schools in the US in 2019 were in the free or reduced lunch program in their schools. In a nutshell, that means that nearly half the children in the US live in households that are either below the poverty mark or within 15% of it.
The poor have supplanted the middle class as America’s largest economic group.
The moratorium on evictions and student loan payments ends at Christmas. So do the unemployment benefits for nearly 20 million people.
It will be a long winter in the USA, followed by a long spring, and a longer summer. The America we knew before Covid, and before Trump, is gone.

I already made a donation to the local family charity this month.
I try to help the children as much as I can.
I will start next year in debt as usual, which is fine.
This is what the powers that be want from us.
We can be socialists as long as we pay, coming and going.
They are laughing all the way to the bank.
You remember Mr. Potter from It’s A Wonderful Life?

When we all collectively stop using money, everything will be fixed. Like Magic.

Nancy Pelosi stood behind Trump while she tore up a copy of his speech.

The only reality is that in legislative deliveries,

Nancy Pelosi has stood behind Trump when it came to passing his agenda.

These food lines are the result of democrats NOT fighting for the people.

They went along with the republican agenda and continue to mislead people into

thinking that they are an opposition party.
