In an apple/tree tale of improbable juxtapositions, turns out Woody Guthrie rented a Brooklyn apartment in 1950 from one Fred Trump, a racist, sketchy, low-income housing profiteer who later taught everything he knew to his appalling son Donald. Despising Trump and his use of FHA guidelines banning “inharmonious uses of housing” – aka integration - Woody wrote a bitter song decrying "Just how much/Racial hate/(Trump) stirred up/(In) human hearts," which makes us miss him more.

What is there not to like about the songs of Woodie Guthre?
I just read that folks in the UK are passing around a petition to ban trump from entering the UK. It appears that the UK has a law that bars people who promote hate and racism from entering the country. Oh don't I hope that gets passed! What kind of presidential contender would trump be if he was barred from entering the country that is the US's greatest ally?
