If 9/11 Attacks Can Spark Trillions in War Spending, Asks Ocasio-Cortez, Why Can't US Find Funding for Puerto Rico 'Marshall Plan'?

Jessica Corbett, staff writer

A study commissioned by the Puerto Rican government has found that an estimated 2,975 people died after Hurricane Maria devastated the U.S.

Why indeed.

Two reasons.

One, Puerto Rico isn’t related to the MIC.

Two, the Mayor of San Juan pissed off Trump by condemning his lack of response.

WHY? because the MICC war-machine “provides jobs” in every congressional district and killing people around the world is a money-maker! The MICC is a parasite on our republic aided by a complicit D & R Congress!

…because wealthy “investors” can’t make profit on restoring and improving PR - Wall Street pigs already stole all the Island had loaning money via bonds, because the trump regime scum are racist, and Puertorriqueños are of Spanish extraction even tho Americans (trump would include them in his racist travel ban if he could!), …the PTB cannot make a killing in shoddy fraudulent storm repairs, to admit the island was and remains devastated, and so many more people died as a result of the hurricane, near total neglect, and lies about how many, by the trump regime is something the R’con and trump pigs do not want to admit!

If the US can “forgive” billions in loans to Israel, they can forgive the PR debt, ALL student loan debt, and other rip-offs by the goddamned financial predatory bankers! Nationalize the freakin banks and restore Glass-Steagall!

Hi jneastra, sigh, have you already forgotten GW Bush and what happened to the citizens of Louisiana? And New Orleans, and the 9th ward? And who could ever forget " Heck-of- a- job, Brownie? "

It’s sordid America history when those at the top forget and keep forgetting the PEOPLE!
Actually, if GWBUSH and the evil android, Cheney hadn’t dissed the world and created “Shock and Awe,”-----hmmmm-----maybe we should auction of the Bush ranch property and the Haliburton ill gotten gains--------and sell all that property and make America and Iraq and the Middle East, and PUERTO RICO ------- WHOLE AGAIN!

If that government hadn’t dissed the people back then, maybe America would still be sorta great and not such a trashed up place—from water, to soil to air. YES DEM Socialists RULE----- and it’s time for the populace to join! : )

And more proof of your statement? When Trump went to Puerto Rico, he thought by throwing paper towels… he was doing second class citizens a favor!

Reality check;

The debt saddled on to Puerto Rico is false. This is so by US law. Debts loaded onto a colony by a corrupt capitalist cabal are not valid.

Puerto Rico bought things on credit secured in Puerto Rico’s name by finance graduates taught immoral business practices ay Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Chicago U, Berkeley U and a host of other finance mumbo jumbo professors.

Of course Golden Sacks et al lent the money, they received a hefty bribe commission up front.

Cancel the debt, Puerto Rico. You have plenty of money to use independent green socialist investment policies to support public utilities and emergency water storage.

The answer to the headline question is because it is more “fun” to bomb POC than help them…

Why? Simply, a callous disregard for life.

Short answer: Because 9/11 accomplished that particular “mission.” U.S. “can’t find” funding for Puerto Rico based on institutional racism.

The sole purpose of launching the 911 attack was to open the flood gates for trillions of taxpayers dollars to be paid for many generations to come. The 911 attack is one of the highest crimes against humanity and the working people in America. Cheney, Bush, Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz ought to be hanged right where the twin towers once stood.

Also, it’s because bombing has a far greater return on investment than rebuilding Porto Rico.

Fuck Israel, since it’s founding the US has been pumping welfare cash to Israel at tremendous cost to the poor and hard working Americans.

I was disappointed when I watched the reaction of those who caught those paper towels. Why did they not throw them back in his face?

The Marshall Plan for PR is to do nothing that would currently rebuild or improve the territory, waiting for most of the remaining people to lose hope in their island environment expecting that a return to normalcy will never happen. When enough of the remaining residents leave PR for the mainland, never to return, the well-off rich bastards will invade the island looking for abandoned bargain priced waterfront land to build their compounds. I could easily see a huge new golf course resort built by the Dumpster rising up near the ocean.

Hurricanes that might move over the island would never be a problem for the invaders. If any storms threaten the new enclaves, it’s only a short ride back to the mainland where the well-off refugees would ride out the storm, while the low paid servant help would head for the hills to ride out the storm and hope their home isn’t damaged beyond repair when the hurricane passes. The wealthy invaders would have no worries even if all their investments were destroyed back to sand, since the American taxpayer would pick up the tab for quickly rebuilding what the storm had destroyed.

So don’t give up hope for a PR Marshall Plan, future storms will produce lots of benefits for investors hit by storm damage.

The big difference is Puerto Rico was devastated by something natural and unintentional, where the purpose of 9/11 was to terrorize the American People into accepting the Project for a New American Century. There was lots of effective planning for one, and a media that were as good as co-conspirators.

If 9/11 Attacks Can Spark Trillions in War Spending, Asks Ocasio-Cortez, Why Can’t US Find Funding for Puerto Rico ‘Marshall Plan’?
"The U.S. treats Puerto Ricans as second class citizens," notes the ACLU. "Thousands of lives were lost because of it."

Some honest answers –

First of all the people of Puerto Rico are people of color who have
also tried to defy the US in seeking statehood.

Secondly, because there are so many disasters and so many more to come
that they will no longer consider these “rescues” – (See: Katrina)

Third, because the profits from the false flag operation 9/11 went into the pockets
of Wealthy - and that includes the wars which followed.
In the case of Puerto Rico, it’s its exploitation of labor and natural resources which
create profits for Elites.

Additionally, Oligarchs who control US wealth generally tend to think of the wealth
of the nation as something which belongs to them and they don’t want it depleted
by assistance to Puerto Rico. They likely also gave their approval to selling Puerto
Rico debt out and to the new financial demands on citizens there to pay the debts,
to austerity programs, lowering of minimum wage, damage to public education, etal.

Funny how the magic money tree always has money for the killers, never the healers. Funny, too, how our supposedly peace-prone “democracies” vote for the war-mongers, not the peace-makers. Looks like the problem lies far deeper than political parties.

Exactly. That is why they staged 911. It was part of a long term plan to fleece the nation.

It’s simple really. PR is the test. Under these conditions they are ripe for the plucking by the capitalists. The entire island is about to be privatized and turned into a feudal estate.
I said they were the test. In the coming years the most downtrodden of US states, who have already witnessed the most privatization of their commons, will get what will come to be known as the “Puerto Rico” treatment.
The fascists of this generation learned from the lessons of their 20th century ancestors. Fascism is best implemented incrementally. Baby steps, until one day, some event, some distaster allows them to make that last lunge.
We are all a large natural disaster, or economic crisis away from being fascists.
