In Day of Action, Activists Demand Obama Cancel Oil Leases in Gulf

Andrea Germanos, staff writer

President Barack Obama must "live up to his climate legacy," a group of climate activists said Wednesday, as they took part in a day of action to demand that he cancel future leases for fossil fuel extraction in the Gulf of Mexico.

The activists, who represented groups including 350.org Louisiana and the Louisiana Bucket Brigade, gathered outside the local headquarters of the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) in New Orleans.

Obama knuckled under to BP immediately after the disastrous explosion and release...just as has every American president for a century.

What Obama legacy?
Obama has brought nothing but betrayal to voters -- especially in overturning the
26 year ban on off-shore drilling which very soon after brought the British Petroleum
disaster in the Gulf and severe damage to the area and its inhabitants -- and likely
extensive damage that we're not even aware of as yet.

Basically, Obama has done nothing but act against the interests of the planet,
humanity and all of Nature.

And holding Hillary's "feet to the fire" will be as big a failure as it has under Obama.

Vote Green.
