And who’s going to pick up the tab for that? You guessed it. You are.

“Now Senator Bernie Sanders is bringing renewed scrutiny to Amazon’s reliance on taxpayer dollars to supplement wages. On Wednesday, the Vermont independent introduced the Stop Bad Employers by Zeroing Out Subsidies Act, which hits companies that have more than 500 employees with a 100 percent tax on some government benefits its workers receive, like public housing, Medicaid, and food stamps. For example: If the Stop BEZOS Act were to pass, McDonald’s would be taxed $100 every time one of its cashiers collected $100 in food stamps. The bill is designed to force large corporations to increase wages, and to raise awareness about how companies benefit from public welfare, even in a healthy economy.”

One has to remember that millions of people own amazon stock, not just Jeff Bezos.

Certainly not all his doing. The move was likely recommended by the executive team and further approved by the Board of Directors of the company. He DID probably have veto power however. I hate that Amazon did this. Of any company, they are probably in the best position to cover the benefits. But to villainize Bezos is a little unfair.

Maybe these unfortunate workers can sign up with Biden’s Health Care Plan?

We all know that Obama Care was just a Gift to the Private Health Care Insurance Companies.

And now Biden Care is more bullshit and another Gift to the Private Health Care Blood Suckers.

Corporate Greed is why people cannot depend on their Employer for Health Insurance? Jeff Bezos is indicative of All CEO’s in America.

There is only 1 solution to the Health Care Coverage problem in America; a Group Policy that Covers ALL Americans, it is called:

MEDICARE FOR ALL

BERNIE SANDERS - 2020

Suspect many workers will resign in search of work that offers benefits. Healthcare insurance is worth six or eight dollars and hour and any wage differential between Whole Foods and any other part-time job is likely to disappear. Have fun training all those uncommitted workers, Whole Foods.

Bezos is a greedy, selfish pricklette.

Health care should NEVER be tied to jobs. It should be portable and universal, as in most other sensible, developed nations.

Cut the god-damned, bloated military/endless wars budget by 75% and end the subsidies to the fossil fuel and Big Ag and Big Pharma parasites and use those savings to provide Medicare for All, including vision, hearing, and dental care.

Actually, millions do not own Amazon stock. Majority is held by institutional investors. Bezos, ex-wife
and insiders have substantial shares. Note that Amazon paid NO 2018 taxes on approximately 11.5 billion income. Biggest tax deduction was cost of stock options (1 billion dollars) paid to … you got it: To the Bozo that has net worth around $160,000,000,000. Got to cut corners where you can?

Re

That disconnect between words and actions, Business Insider columnist Bob Bryan said, proves there’s no substitute for solidarity.

Solidarity is key. Union busting is in Whole Foods’ DNA, back to when its predecessor crushed organizing efforts. Bezos has just scaled it up.

"This is why I keep the job—because of my benefits."

A PERFECT argument for Universal Health Care!!!

Whole Foods said:

“We are providing team members with resources to find alternative healthcare coverage options, or to explore full-time, healthcare-eligible positions starting at 30 hours per week.”

Which means that if you could only work 20 hours/week, Whole Foods is putting the squeeze on you. Meanwhile, Jeff Bezos’ net worth went up an average of $107 million/day (per fucking day!) in 2018. So, yeah, I’m happy as hell to villainize his ass and tell the stockholders that their ROI is down 3/10s of a percent so a few working moms don’t have to apply for Medicaid.

Welcome to our community. We’re not usually this viscious, but this deeply pisses me off because of how emblematic it is of our distorted “Wall St-first” national priorities.

Dear Troll: Your taxes buddy-boy are supposed to take care of you and me. That is how you take care of a country and its people. In this society we are the government. However, the people we elect and those whom they choose to support them make sure our taxes go to wars that fill the pockets of the military industrial complex and any other rich bastard’s pocket. You are know nothing of grandest kind. Take your show elsewhere.

Or, you’re a tool with nothing real to say, just here to mindlessly support Trump and be a tool. Which is it?
