In Major Tax Speech, Paul Ryan Lays Out Plan to Lavish Rich With Tax Cuts

Jake Johnson, staff writer

After spending months selling a healthcare plan that proposed kicking millions off their insurance and gutting crucial safety net programs, House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) has now shifted his focus to tax reform, where he hopes to provide significant tax relief t

The trump regime and RepubliCons - Pigs at the trough in service to wealth and power.......ignorant, corrupt, and evil mofo's, all of them, trump, ryan and pence.......a grave threat to America and the entire world.

"Government is instituted for the common good; for the protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness of the people; and not for profit, honor, or private interest of any one man, family, or class of men; therefore, the people alone have an incontestable, unalienable, and indefeasible right to institute government; and to reform, alter, or totally change the same, when their protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness require it." - John Adams 1776

The ultimate goal is to shift the entire tax burden onto the working class, with an extinct middle class, and the poor dead thru neglect.
All to fund a military machine that effects regime change around the globe to the exclusive benefit of.........Corporate America.
Welcome to the Corporate States of America.

Paul Ryan is a libertarian of the Ayn Rand variety, in other words, a person who elevates greed and misanthropy to virtues, an error in right thinking.

'No man is an iland, intire of it selfe; every man is a peece of the Continent, a part of the maine; if a clod bee washed away by the Sea, Europe is the lesse, as well as if a Promontorie were, as well as if a Mannor of thy friends or of thine owne were; any mans death diminishes me, because I am involved in Mankinde; And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; It tolls for thee....' John Donne.

Part of the "rich" that he wants to "lavish with tax cuts" include himself, his wife (a millionaire heiress), his in-laws, DJT and the Trump Trash Tribe, and his big money donors...just to name a few. He only practices parsimony (frugality) when it comes to funding the social safety net (Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare, CHIP, WIC, housing/rental assistance, Meals-On-Wheels, etc.), shoring up our infrastructure, and environmental oversight...to name a few. Why should he care...he put into savings all the SS survivor benefits he received after his father died, which is against the law but he got away with it...yet now he is cavalier about trying to do away with it. A demon in a suit...Lucifer.

Just like they shifted the burden of the 2008 financial meltdown onto the public at large. We the people - hurt - while the banksters and the political sycophants went on living it up.

#7

Let's get busy then. Time is overdue for a better system.

According to recent polling data, most Americans want to do the opposite of what Ryan is proposing.

Most of the people in the US call themselves "Americans" ("Americans", or "'Mericans" should read "people of the USA", or does "American" include Bolivians, Canadians, and Mexicans, among others?) The problem is that "'Mericans" of Wisconsin's First District keep voting for this a-hole.

The continents are North, Central and South America but the people of the USA are the only ones referred to as Americans. Similarly the term America (singular) derives from the name >>> "United States of America". Just as it is the "United States of Brazil" which people refer to as Brazil.

At least Dubya corrected the mischaracterization by referring to us as "Murkins".

For at least the past half century, "tax reform" in Murka is code for reducing taxes on the 1% while increasing taxes for the 99%.

1986 tax reform was the most regressive tax act in US history, yet Democrats still refer to it as "bipartisan 1986 tax reform" and Obama on several occasions reminded us that "tax reform in the spirit of 1986 tax reform" was high on his agenda.

Paul Ryan, voted the biggest brown noser of his high school class, shows once again what a heartless contemptible shill he is and who he really works for. He and McConnell are scum bags of the worst kind.

#12

This is a joke historiography lesson I assume.

#13

both sides have lied and distorted. it is past time the US citizens took a look at what has really happened instead of just listening to the politicos spin a tale of deceit fashioned to make bad things look good. The time for our passiveness and ignorance has passed.

If 61% believe that the wealthiest pay too little in taxes, why do a majority of the states have republican governors, the house and the senate have a republican majority, and why is there a sociopathic narcissistic cretin in the white house ?

Is it because roughly 50% of eligible voters don't vote and that more than half the remainder who do vote are ill informed imbeciles who shoot themselves in the foot by voting for republicans in election after election ?

Perhaps it's time for a revolution, because it's clear the U.S. is no longer a functioning democracy.

#15

Or maybe it's because the ostensible 'opposition' to the Republicans does next to nothing when in power?

#16

Excellent point SkepticTank.

It only gets worse! Muslim proverb

The corporate Democrats have to go. They want these tax cuts just like the republicans. They just don't want anyone to know that is what they want, time for Pelosi, Clinton's et al to go. They are useless and want to turn the economic policy and foreign policy into consensus policies as Clinton stated during the election. You saw hem all praise Trump as soon as he expanded the wars instead of ending them as he promised. They are now the new Republicans. The FDR party is gone.

We just saw a movie from a few years ago titled, "The Shock Doctrine" (also a book by Naomi Klein). Highly recommended In order to see the history and gain full understanding of the game being played on our country and the countries our government chooses to dominate.

Ayn Rand's legacy lives on: suck up to the rich, tell yourself that a construct of "haves" and "have nots" follows the laws of natural selection, and ruthlessly manipulate until your vision of the natural order are put in place. t.
