In St. Louis, Black Youths Bear Brunt of Dysfunctional Justice System

Black kids in St. Louis, Missouri are being disproportionately impacted by unconstitutional and discriminatory miscarriages of justice within the Family Court system, according to a two-year investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice.

According to a statement on Friday from the agency's Civil Rights Division, the probe found multiple constitutional violations, including:

I suspect the best solution is to have more black cops, and perhaps more importantly, another black Supreme Court judge. Like Clarence Thomas. We might consider segregated policing -- white cops in white communities, black cops in black communities, etc. Juries should consist of those who are of the same race as the defendant. At the least, this would leave us with a clearer picture of what it is that drives crime, and what determines the outcome when people are arrested.
