Hillary Clinton herself blames James Comey and his election-week letter for her defeat.

Of course she does, but that doesn't make it true.

Watch your computer and phone use. Somebody is watching you, and the walls have ears.

Thanks for this Glen and Intercept Staff.

Repression is bound to increase and progressives need to be prepared with strategies rather than just reacting, especially if our repression restricts actions we have used in the past. We can look to contemporary examples, such as Sisi's Egypt, or the past, to get a sense of what we may confront.
We need to ask and answer questions such as:

  • What will we do if our ability to use the internet and/or our cell phones is restricted?

  • What will we do if legislation further criminalizes peaceful dissent?

  • What will we do if our ability to get together in person or virtually, is restricted?

  • What will we do if outspoken activities are arrested and face extensive legal bills and lengthy jail terms?

What they failed to report on the raid in Yemen:

Her name was Nawar Al-Awlaki and she was 8.

Sorry, but you are late on this one, Steve. I already have comrades who were arrested and jailed who were participants in the Women's March, the J20 meeting, and at airports over the last couple of days.

This is why financiers, as well as participating activists, are needed to cover the costs of protest supplies, pamphlets, medical expenses, bail, court costs and attorney fees. Effective activism requires multiple layers of support.

As you correctly pointed out, the ability to communicate is critical ... especially at the actual site of direct activism. In fact, a central point of communication is a necessity for those involved in direct, disruptive activism.

Resist and Disrupt!

Hi mbrownec,

Yes, I understand that there have been arrests at demonstrations. The repression is beginning and my point is that must strengthen our ability to resist and we must work proactively.

With respect to my comment regarding arrests and legal bills, what I wanted to communicate is that we, in the US, may had down a road in which criminalization of dissent and arrests reach a par with what is taking place in countries such as Turkey and Egypt, where people, who have not even participated in demonstrations, are arrested, and in some cases held without charge, solely as a result of having been identified, by unnamed accusers, of having communicated 'treasonous' thoughts.

Yes, Resist and Disrupt. You are right, multiple layers of support are necessary. Similarly multiple layers of action are also necessary. The movement for social justice must also include progressives, committed to the long term struggle, who analyze, organize, prepare, plan, and establish democratic control in our local communities as well.

During the electoral campaign, Donald Trump vowed to murder the family members of people that he decrees to be 'terrorists'.

He found support for this crime against humanity among the sociopaths known as US SEAL Team 6. The reports of their brutal mass murder are horrifying. The US SEAL Team 6 sociopaths, broke into a home a 2:30 AM and brutally murdered at least 10 women and children. They shot Nawar al-Awlaki in the neck and left her to bleed to death among her dead family and friends. Reports are that she lay bleeding to death for 2 hours.

Efforts must be made to ensure that Trump and SEAL Team 6 are brought to trial for their crimes against humanity.

What do we do if were become sensitive to electricity, develop sudden sensitivity to sudden noises, experienced nice omnipresent stalking, develop unusual changes in blood pressure or sudden diarrhea in protest areas.

"...the covert political war waged between the CIA and FBI." This isn't too new. It's interesting that there are no treason charges. If they are fighting among themselves, that means our tax dollars are being spent illegally, homeland security is secondary, terrorsts find out because it's being made public and strengthening fanatic resistance, and yet our Prez is banning people from countries that dont have his businesses. How the hell this doesn't fit under treason? Manning didnt do a fraction of what these traitors are doing. If they knowingly put the country at risk, that is treason.
