International Community Falling Shamefully Short on Pledges to Rebuild Gaza: Report

Sarah Lazare, staff writer

Just six months after donors from around the world pledged $3.5 billion towards the rebuilding of Gaza, following Israel's 51-day military assault last summer, only 26.8 percent of these funds have been disbursed, reconstruction has "barely begun," and the civilian population remains strangled by an economic and military siege.

I firmly believe their accountant might not admit, their auditor may admit that quarter 25% of the donated funds already paid out is for their own NGO wages etc, given donations full term run over 60% ends up in their own wage and distribution costs. All NGO's boast if 40% ever gets to the intended recipients it is a success.

Gaza and the capture of the West Bank for settlements is the product of the much-loved by Republicans Netanyahu and the right-wing war lovers. They "mow the grass" in Gaza on a regular basis leaving the people no way to live. If you love war, admit the carnage "Made in America" bombs and Bushco wars have done around the world.
