Israel Repurposes Nakba Myths to Justify Today’s Massacre in Gaza

Jonathan Cook

On Monday and Tuesday, Palestinians commemorate the anniversary of the Nakba, or catastrophe, their mass expulsion and dispossession 70 years ago as the new state of Israel was built on the ruins of their homeland. As a result, most Palestinians were turned into refugees, denied by Israel the right to return to their homes.

Tens of thousands turned out on Monday in the occupied territories to protest against seven decades of Israel’s refusal to make amends or end its oppressive rule.

What is defined by 6 points, 6 triangles, and a 6-sided polygon?

We should have given the Jews New York State, what was ours to give, and not what was not ours to give. That way being in support of the new State, we would have no problem with masses of non Jews being pushed out of the State with no right of return, because we could easily accommodate them in the rest of the US. We would also be in a good position to give it most of our foreign aid because the money would not seem to be travelling far, and support for its crimes in the UN would seem natural. If the new State wanted to attack neighboring States not too happy with the expulsion and discrimination against non Jews we could be forgiving, because it would be for us to forgive. Evangelicals would love it, because they could easily visit the new country they love so much, And If they found it necessary to cage up large numbers of non-Jews in Gaza like prisons, that would be the least we could do to make up for the holocaust.

I guess if ANY country wanted to put an end to peaceful protests all they need to do is send out a broadcast or drop leaflets stating “If you participate in any peaceful protests Government snipers will kill you” and in the eyes of the Western media that any protestors subsequently shot is their own fault.

The West change its ways? Ha! It was the way of the West to “cleanse” the land of Natives back when the U.S. “liberated” the land (stole) and placed the Natives on reservations!

The gunsight that Israeli snipers are using to shoot unarmed Palestinians?

The blade and chalice, if the fictional Robert Langdon can be trusted.

Is this anything other than moral inversion?

But Jerusalem would be the cry yet.

These Palestinians are antisemitic. It’s OK for Jews to be anti non-Jew because of the holocaust. Wouldn’t you be?
