Jared Kushner Tries to Strip Refugee Status, Aid from Millions of Displaced Palestinians

Juan Cole

According to Jared Kushner and other hard line Zionists, the Palestinian people don’t exist. Ever since they ethnically cleansed the majority of Palestinians, the Israelis have been hoping that they will just go away. They look out on Galilee, the West Bank, Gaza, Jordan, and Lebanon, and ask, “why are you still here?” as though the Palestinians were a houseboy in their mansion that they had fired last week.

I would so chain his skinny ass to a rock in the hot desert sun. Just to see if he has Yahweh in his contacts list, I’d let him have his phone–for a steep fee, of course.

Prof. Cole, thanks for such a heart felt post and the rage at the injustice is
contagious–I hope.
Just a thought: is there any linguistic connection between the Arabic
language spoken today in Palestine, to the Aramaic Semite language spoken by Jesus in his day? “Abba” Father, being one word.
I say because maybe a few of those 80% Trump supporters, the evangelical religious nationalists calling themselves Christians, might be interested to hear what their demon is doing in their name.

This kind of stuff is supported on the evangelist (Pence) side as setting up Israel for the 2nd coming. Yes, it’s entirely cynical on their part, in that when the evangelists are sucked up to heaven, the unconverted Jews are to be annihilated.

But I don’t find Cole’s rage at all helpful. I prefer to read the Foreign Policy piece from which he got his information. It’s FP that has Kushner’s memos.

Kooshy will certainly have plenty of Dims on his side. U.S. Zionism has always been led by Dims and has now devolved into a truly Bipartisan Duopoly effort under Agent Orange (thanks to Kim Scipes).

Thanks to Professor Cole who gets to the heart of issues.

The Palestinians were ethnically cleansed beginning in 1948 by Jewish/Zionist terrorist forces in a premeditated plan to empty the land to be for Jews only - Menachem Begin’s Irgun and the Stern Gang especially - that pre-meditated ethnic cleansing, racist expansion, and Jewish supremacist belief/rationale continues to this day. The Bedouin of the Negev are being cleansed from their ancestral lands/homes and their villages destroyed by Israeli forces now!

Palestinian villages - over 450 - were forcibly emptied in 1948 and immediately blown-up or bulldozed to assure Palestinians “had no place to come home to” - the words of zionist leaders!

One example is the massacre of the village of Deir Yassin April 9, 1948, a pogrom by Jewish forces against Palestinians over 100 men, women and children murdered, the village occupied and looted!

It is very fitting that the zionist entity is called the “special ally”, linked to the US by “unbreakable bonds”. Thru subversion of American sovereignty, politics, Congress and the executive, our foreign policy has been subverted to israeli interests to our great detriment! Those so-called “bonds” have made America complicit to the war-crimes, racist ethnic cleansing, and de facto annexation of the Occupied Territories by the Israeli entity…and we are much the poorer for it!

America must break those “unbreakable bonds” to the war-criminal racist Israel!

The maps that Cole uses (and gives no source for) have already been discredited many times elsewhere.

The U.N. is supporting and perpetuating at least four generations of Palestinians because their Muslim brethren are keeping them in camps instead of absorbing them into existing societies. This is in direct contrast to the almost million Jewish refugees from the Middle East and Iran who did not end up in camps despite being exiled.

n his new book, Deir Yassin: The End of the Myth , Prof. Eliezer Tauber, head of the Institute for the Study of Underground Movements at Bar-Ilan University and former Dean of the Faculty of Jewish Studies at the University, examines the events of that day in April 1948 when the Arab village of Deir Yassin was attacked by Lehi and Etzel (Irgun or IZL) fighters, and reveals step by step the origin of the myth that a massacre was committed against the villagers.

To write his book, Tauber thus turned to both Jewish and Arab sources, to the testimonies of Etzel (Irgun) and Lehi fighters, and to the testimonies of the Arabs at the scene. Not surprisingly, he said, the testimonies sound similar and express the same conclusion: There was no massacre at Deir Yassin.

The attempt by pro-Israeli propagandists and knowing liars - the Hasbara brigade - to cast doubt on the true history of institutionalized racism and extreme violence of the Jewish terrorist groups expelling by force the native Palestinian inhabitants in 1948 is yet another ugly chapter of the subjugation and theft of Palestine by zionist supremacist mythology - that contempt for Palestinian lives continues to this day!

Any so-called “discrediting” of zionist atrocities or claiming “there was no massacre at Deir Yassin” is by pro-Israeli propagandists and liars - even Jewish historians admit the ethnic cleansing, forced expulsions, and massacres, including at Deir yassin!

"Jewish leadership, after initially admitting to the massacre at Deir Yassin and expressing regret, has been silent over the last decades - the number of dead is disputed — it ranges from 100 to 250 — the essential details have been confirmed by Palestinian and Jewish historians: Arab noncombatants were massacred by the Irgun and Lehi.

Claiming that “there was no massacre at Deir Yassin” is a blatant, but typical, revisionist history and lie by the zionist extremist racists and their Hasbara agents! Don’t buy the well-crafted lie!

"Deir Yassin was a peaceful village of around 400 people that had signed a non-aggression pact and was excluded from clashes elsewhere. Due to its proximity to West Jerusalem, it came under the UN Partition Plan as part of the independent Jerusalem area.

“The Jewish forces that invaded Deir Yassin belonged mainly to two extremist, underground, paramilitary groups, the Irgun (National Military Organisation) and the Lehi (Fighters for the Freedom of Israel, also known as the Stern Gang), both of which were aligned with the right-wing Zionist movement; they have been described as “Jewish terrorist” groups. The two groups attacked the village in order to clear the road to Jerusalem of its Arab inhabitants, as well as send a message to the other Palestinians in the region. The Palmach, a unit of the Haganah (the forerunner of the Israel Defense Forces) whose leadership was aligned with the political left, also took part in the massacre to a lesser degree” - from “Remembering the massacre at Deir Yassin” by Middle East Monitor.

Why should they need to be “absorbed” into other societies? They had their own culture, and they did not leave by choice.

There are a number of versions of what happened in 1948 when the surrounding Arab nations declared war on Israel. It appears many Palestinians were forced out violently as described here. There are also stories that many fled on their own volition because they heard that once the Arabs won the war they would be able to return home. Since the Arabs lost the war any Palestinians who fled believing they would soon return found themselves unable to return. Many of the Palestinians who are now refugees actually lived in what became Transjordan. However, when Jordan lost the war in 1967 and Israel wound up occupying the West Bank Jordan gave up claim to that the land. Jordan was concerned that the population of Palestinians was almost as large as that of the Jordanians and decided that giving up the West Bank would solve that problem. I think a two-state solution is the only viable alternative. One state would only seem to result in civil war for control or suppression of the minority. Two groups of similar size are claiming the same land so a compromise by dividing the land appears to be the only hope for long-term peace in that region.

Cole’s demonization of Israel is not only unfair and one-sided, it is part of an ineffective strategy for helping anyone. The same thing occurs on the pro-Israel side, demonizing Palestinians and also spreading hate.
The Israelis won’t go away any more than the Palestinians, and neither side can be made to do so. Spreading hatred helps neither.
The only way to actually improve lives of Palestinians (and Israelis too who live under threat or terror, rockets, firebombs etc) is to seek reconciliation, tolerance compromise, compromise on all sides. Think it through, there is no other way.

BDS is similar to racism. Racists treat people as members of a group rather than as individuals.

BDS says "I don’t care if you’re innocent or guilty, good or bad, if you’re an Israeli, I will make you suffer!

BDS is exhibiting bias, discrimination, injustice, unfairness, partiality, & bigotry. It singles out the Jewish state.

Why is there no BDS against China’s illegal occupation of Tibet & the millions of settlers China has transferred into Tibet?

Why is there no BDS against Turkey’s illegal occupation of Cyprus & the Turkish settlers in Cyprus?

Why is there no BDS against Morocco’s illegal occupation of Western Sahara?

Why is there no BDS against Russia’s illegal occupation of the Crimea?

No one would have been displaced or lost any land if Palestinians had not tried to exterminate the Jews.

The day after the UN Partition Resolution in November 1947, racist, xenophobic Palestinians started a genocidal war to exterminate the Jews. Haj Amin el-Husseini, Grand Mufti of Jerusalem – “I declare a holy war, my Muslim brothers! Murder the Jews! Murder them all!”

The war started with Palestinians attacking a Jewish bus driving on the Coastal Plain near Kfar Sirkin killing five and wounding others. Half an hour later they ambushed a second bus from Hadera, killing two more. Arab snipers attacked Jewish buses in Jerusalem and Haifa.

Wars create refugees!

It was Palestinians’ murdering innocent Jews that led to the war which displaced Palestinians. Israel would be exposing its citizens to danger if Israel allowed the return of those same Palestinians who had been murdering innocent Jews. Furthermore, the descendants of those Palestinians who were displaced, have been raised to hate & murder Jews.

Here’s what Palestinian children see on Palestinian TV:

A song in a children’s cartoon includes the lyrics, “Zionist man, run away, Zionist woman, run away, very soon you’ll be killed by a car.”

A Palestinian singer is shown in another clip, singing the lyrics, “Oh Martyrdom-seeker, make them cry. Make the fire engulf them. Turn them into body parts, roast them.”

A Palestinian child declaims in a speech into which he has been indoctrinated, “Oh sons of Zion, oh the most evil of creatures, oh barbaric apes.”

In a children’s TV show, a Mickey Mouse figures asks a child, “How will you sacrifice your soul for the sake of Al-Aqsa? Was will you do? The child replies, “I will shoot. We want to… We will annihilate the Jews”

It’s Hamas that denies Gazans freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of assembly, freedom of religion & the vote. If Gazans want freedom, they need to overthrow Hamas.

Every time Israel offers to end the occupation, the Palestinians say “No!”

Even Prince Bandar bin Sultan of Saudi Arabia (certainly not a Zionist) said that Arafat’s refusal to accept the January 2001 offer was a crime. Thousands of people would die because of Arafat’s decision & not one of those deaths could be justified.

As Clinton later wrote in his memoir:

It was historic: an Israeli government had said that to get peace, there would be a Palestinian state in roughly 97 percent of the West Bank, counting the [land] swap, and all of Gaza, where Israel also had settlements. The ball was in Arafat’s court.

But Arafat would not, or could not, bring an end to the conflict. “I still didn’t believe Arafat would make such a colossal mistake,” Clinton wrote. “The deal was so good I couldn’t believe anyone would be foolish enough to let it go.” But the moment slipped away. “Arafat never said no; he just couldn’t bring himself to say yes.”

Thanks for the link. I can’t put a ‘like’ on what it says though. The bar is never too low for those who support Israel.

Palestinians have been oppressing Jews for centuries.

In 1839, the British consul, William Young, said that the poor Jew in Jerusalem…lives from day to day in terror of his life…Young attributed the plight of the Jew in Jerusalem to “the blind hatred and ignorant prejudice of a fanatical populace,”

JEWS IN JERUSALEM.

New York Times December 29, 1878

Crowded together in the worst lodgings, or in the dark cellars under a synagogue building, without food, fuel, or water –even water at Jerusalem being a commodity of price – numbers died of starvation and various diseases, while others went raving mad. Those who could labor were denied employment by the bigotry of the Mussulmans and of the Oriental Christians.

Notice the date. This was before the first Zionists arrived in Palestine. Notice the word bigotry.

Jews had lived for centuries in Hebron & Gaza until they were ethnically cleansed from those areas in 1929.

During the week of riots from 23 to 29 August, 133 Jews were killed by Arabs and 339 others were injured,

and now Palestinians oppress Israelis

Running over Israelis is oppression.

Stabbing Israelis is oppression.

Shooting Israelis is oppression.

Firing rockets at Israelis is oppression.

Blowing up Israelis is oppression.

Throwing rocks at Israelis is oppression.

Setting Israeli crops & forests on fire is oppression.

When you post something like the above, you should provide links - otherwise you are simply propagandizing.
What is the difference between “zionist” and “jew”?
Who is the producer of the asserted material?
How long has the alleged material been broadcast?
What station is broadcasting it?
Can you provide a Palestinian spokesperson to verify your claims?
Do you regard the failure of the State(s) to consult with the indigenous of Palestine about introducing Jewish populations on their territory to have been an acceptable practice?
In that the indigenous inhabitants of “Palestine” were NOT consulted, why do you not regard the introduction of thousands of people as an invasion and instead the actions of the Palestinians as “murder”.
How do you square the “externalization” [denial] of genocidal ethnic cleansing past and present in-slow-motion history with the murder of Palestinians who are STILL, some 100 years later, struggling with the twisted hypocrisies that have been so tragically, absolutely essential elements of the Israeli zionist permeation of violence?

You and/or anyone can hammer lies till kingdom come. But - be VERY aware that the violence done to communication NEVER stays where it is introduced, and the perpetrators become victims of that poison. Israel itself is a prime example and media it depends on is well ahead on the poisoned curve.

Can you see how psychopathic and sociopathic the zionist methodologies are? Just because they wield the greater power DOES NOT make it "right "

Then again all you need is ONE original LIE - that the original inhabitants of Palestine did not have a right to their homelands. Can you make any of your arguments without that single original lie?

You can argue for empire/colonization till blue in the face. It changes nothing.
