Good for them. Cashing in on misery is disgusting.

What’s bizarre is that somewhere out there there are (a handful of) fortunate workers for the public good whose unions have negotiated pensions for them and unbeknownst to them, they are invested in this crap. Ain’t that America.

Just checked open secrets and found out the GEO Group gave $5000 to my senator Roy Blunt in the 2016 election cycle. Called his office about it. Check your reps and call them out for taking money from the private prison industry. I applaud Never Again for their actions.

Great publicity by the AIPAC but why are these “protester” so damn quite when Israel massacres the Palestinians, steals their land, demolishes their homes on daily basis?

This humanistic action could make a wonderful headline:
“Jewish Protestors Arrested for Protesting Prison Company’s Concentration Camps.”

A perfect fit for those who try to confine the term," concentration camp," to mid 20th century
It seems as if many Americans have already forgotten the American concentration camp called Guantanomo.
Perhaps Mr. Pence or Mr. Netanyahu could explain this alternate meaning of “Do unto others,” the often overlooked commandment. : (

And Commondreams prints huge title Jewish Protesters Arrested at LA Office of Private Prison Company That Runs ICE ‘Concentration Camps’
Jewish propaganda tactic to normalize occupation of Palestine. These same “protesters” know of the terrorism murders and massacres of the Jewish state against the occupied people of Palestine but willfully ignore it all.

You government clowns contracted out work you should be doing yourselves to save money. Then you arrested the Jewish people who protested. What next? Gas chambers?

Jewish Voices for Peace does that.

GEO Group has been buying politicians for a long time. https://theintercept.com/2015/07/23/private-prison-lobbyists-raising-cash-hillary-clinton/

Thanks, timbr — I was about to ask the same question.

A whif of hasbara, perhaps? Does the group have non jewish members?

AIPAC? What the fuck does AIPAC have to do with today’s protest shutting down GEO headquarters? You literally know nothing of the lives and activities of the people involved in today’s protests, yet you smear them based on your assumptions and stereotypes.

Right, because at the top of Israel’s agenda is building a movement to challenge US white supremacy and the corporate police state. Fits right in.

Idiots.

GEO Group: $2.2 Billion.

This is how “our” tax dollars are being spent.

Just imagine what all of the other possibilities are.

They don’t all ignore it. For example, Jewish Voice for Peace is very active in highlighting and fighting against the crimes of Israel against the Palestinians.

Here is my exclusive footage from inside the office building. I got the great speech by the spokesperson, the arrests and interviews with the arrestees. https://www.facebook.com/Lauren.Steiner.LA/videos/10219709665388979

Thanks for the intercept link; that is another one of my news sources but I missed this one.

We must end the private prison system. It is so obvious that making money off of imprisonment incentivizes incarceration. Americans worship the market and think it is the solution to everything.

Question for the author:

Why did you choose to place quotation marks around the term concentration camps, as if that’s not exactly what they are?

Presumably, that use of quote marks in the headline indicates that the protestors said that. The first paragraph cites:

… GEO Group, a private prison company that runs federal migrant detention facilities decried by critics as “concentration camps.”
