Local elections matter. Under the most conservative court since the early 1930s, we should not be surprised at a ruling like this. If people want to change this outcome, they have to elect local officials and legislatures that will change their state laws and/or the way people are sentenced.

Note that kid will spend more time in jail than the now infamous Derek Chauvin; who, at least physically is a mature adult.

O.K. Time we helped spread the rumor that a Mass Teach-In is going to occur in D. C. next year. It is time and it needs to be massive and not just for one day but at least it should span a two week period.
Here is some background to inspire us hopefully from former Black Panther Strategist and Defense Captain, Neil J. Smith:

A National Mass Teach-In, All Lives Matter, sponsored by Black Lives Matter at the Lincoln Memorial where, in the spirit of Unity, each one teaches one. Discussion from the great books, such as, The Bible, Plato, Buddha, Confucianism, James Baldwin, Dubois, Jefferson, Declaration of Independence, the ideas that keeps our spirit solvent, elastic fulll of youth and vigor. We should have dancers, singers, we should celebrate America coming together in the Spring to its youth. All those of good will welcome.
- My hope is that Black Lives Matter sponsors it. I want it to read something like this, “All Lives Matter, Teach-In, sponsored by Black Lives Matter to meet in DC at Lincoln Memorial. I want BLM to sponsor it so that they redeem themselves, and throw off the blow back against them as a separatist agenda. As you know, a Teach-In will incorporate many an idea, and invite the most concerned to conduct discussions and give addresses, to dance and sing, and stress the fact that this is a Young Nation, and the ideas coming from the Old Age Home that has been inflicting sterile ideas; ideas of the idle pated. Nonsense and gross stupidity, which we refuse and recognize as being harmful for a future which sorely need be addressed in unity and understanding that we inhabit the World and do not possess it.*
We must remember it is a “rumor,” and rumored are not to be taken seriously until they are roundly discussed in every quarters. The rumor, in this case, is something to be made on all the social media platforms; the college crowd; the street crowd. The March on Washington, for example, back in ’63 was headless. It began as a rumor on the streets of Chicago as I recall, then began to spread like a brush fire through the black quarters of the Nation. It was not until the Kennedy White House got wind of this rising tide of emotions spreading in and through the Black communities of the Country were the big 6, as the group that was comprised of Dr. King, Farmer, Randolf, Wilkins etc., were they brought into the White house and coronated as heads of the march. The same will occur here too. It won’t be until the populace take it to their hearts —and this is where true democracy enters the picture— that those who presently presume themselves the leaders will try once again to instill themselves as the Movements heads. What we do here, is continue to push the agenda forward. Once it’s being discussed, these people will show their heads.
*For myself, I’m not interested in being a head. I want to see the possibility of a new direction take its rightful place at the table. *
Bring your idealism, good will, the best of ourselves and, as the saying goes, “Check your egos at the door.” We are here for on another, we are here in the best Spirit of Nationhood.

It occurred to me to wonder: what juveniles will this most effect? Oh, my! Could it be juveniles of color? We already know the police system and judicial system is biased. Of course it will effect minorities more. privileged, snarling possum, he is.
The Framers did not say no to
CRUEL punishment,
it says “cruel AND unusual”,
not “cruel OR unusual”,
or just “cruel”, no.
That explains the last 245 years.

of Brett Kavanaugh –
As some might recall the many witnesses to Kavanaugh drunken and aggressive sexual
behavior towards females in college when drunk was something that many tried to report
to the FBI but seems Trump instructed them not to take calls – phones were “off hook.”
Good idea to begin to push on this again –
