Leaked Docs Show Saudis 'Overwhelmingly Dependent' on Western Weapons to Wage War on Yemen

Jessica Corbett, staff writer

Leaked documents from France's military agency "show that Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are overwhelmingly dependent on Western-produced weapon systems to wage their devastating war in Yemen," The Intercept reported Monday.

“It’s a dangerous world.”

Funny how the murdering saudi crown prince seems to have gotten a pass. Its old history and he’s one of the good old boys in the middle of all this murder and mayhem. Yemen is the wrong target for all of this military activity. The west would be better to aim their weapons at saudi arabia and end this regime of corruption, violence and human rights violations. But apparently the leaders of the west condone the behavior of saudi arabia - their friend. Wonder how many of our world leaders have been bought off by the saudi government. That is the only way they know.

Well, duh. It is not like the Saudi Royal Family is stupid enough to allow the Saudi “citizens” to learn how to make things that go boom. Who knows where such things could be pointed? You, me, and the Saudi Royal Family, that’s who.

Maybe aim one at Israel and the U.S. too. (Suicide is painless?)

The Intercept article on this topic points out how inept the Saudis are along the border where they hope to make inroads into Yemen. A ragtag bunch of Houthi guerillas is easily holding 25,000 heavily-armed Saudi troops at bay there.

The Saudi crown prince should focus less on killing his political opponents and focus more on why his military is known as the dandies of the desert.

Corporations, like the family business owned and operated by the House of Saud, always get a pass on death and destruction.

Profits over People (and everything else) is the corporate mantra. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if all the money and energy going into obscene profits went to averting climate crisis? Instead, we sell death.

Saudi Arabia is in the process of building 16 nuclear reactors worth $80 billion with the help of US companies. SA so far has refused to sign an agreement to not produce nuclear bombs. These reactors will come in handy once we get to an open conflict with Iran which is right next to SA. It is easy to see where this is going.

Well, it actually would be better if the U.S. stopped making and selling weapons and that goes for the rest of the world as well. Human beings really need to study themselves and ask why they are so egotistical and self-destructive.

Given the Saudi proven involvement in 911 - are our leaders in the U.S. setting us up for more mayhem and destruction within our own borders. I have just all loss of trust in the U.S. government and our so called leaders. There is something going on that we can’t see or understand but when you start connecting the dots - an ugly picture is painted.

Very little self-reflection. The human ego puts a stop to it at the door.

Yea, that would have happened had they sent him to the Saudi embassy. Trump et al would have probably like that.
