Leaving 'One Hell of a Mess Behind,' British PM Theresa May Admits Brexit Defeat and Resigns

Jon Queally, staff writer

Characterized by critics and political observers as an ignominous end of her three years as leader of the Tory Party and captain of the right-wing ship trying to steer the country toward Brexit, U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May announced her official resignation on Friday morning as she finally admitted defeat.

Good riddance to good rubbish.

The model of the ‘nation state’, the republic has been bought by predatory capitalism. Using nefarious linguistic manipulation, ‘kettling’ - like the police when people attempt to unite in dissent, of all societal well being through a smarmy media that plays childrens games - and all of this by design. And why we ask?
The system is corrupt beyond words because the puppet masters are corrupt, insensate and know only how to gin violence to acquire as much as they can because they have NO IDEA how to effectively steward the limited resources of the planet.

We, in the United States, should be so lucky, to have the incompetent, criminal boob in the White House, do the same.

This is fitting and long overdue, but it still leaves the problem of who rules and to what end. The core of the problem here is still Brexit, with the professional and merchant classes putting on extreme heat to back out of that vote and Labour being torn on the issue between that same class of Blairites and a progressive wing that knows there can be no escape from austerity–even with a Labour government–while the UK is in the EU.

In short, this is still a battle over policy sovereignty and rule by a foreign banker-state.

Corbyn had better prepare for even more heat, because the class forces that demand austerity continue for ordinary Brits is not going to tolerate him in Downing St.

We can only have thoughts and prayers that our Dear Leader will do the same.

I think this will be the last time Britain Plc., UK Ltd. and GB Inc. allows the working class to make trade and business decisions for them.

A massive miscalculation by the capitalists and it is no wonder ex-PM David Cameron who called the referendum for party reasons has been invisible.

Be careful what you ask for, Jeremy. Labour will no doubt get wiped out in that election, just as the polls show they, along with Conservatives, have been wiped out in the European elections held yesterday. Voters swinging dramatically to the Greens, the Liberal Democrats, and the Brexit Party as the nation becomes increasingly polarised and more at war with itself than at anytime since the sectarian divisions of the 1600’s and the Civil War. The legacy of populist bullshitter Nigel Farage: an angry nation ripping itself to pieces for a generation to come.

Quit crying. Your investments and class privileges will likely be fine.

What class priveleges? I’m working class and have been a Labour supporter all my life, until now. Just that, unlike you, a clueless Amercian idiot who knows fuck all about what he speaks, I 'm educated and not a duped idiot.

Sure wish the Headlines were “Trump Resigns” and his Thugs have their hands up saying, “Don’t Shoot!”

“effective stewardship” is not their concern what so ever, it’s not a concept that they even recognize. These people are mentally ill. Power, Geed, Control, are the only motivators and how they accomplish it is little or no concern. The only calculation is to do or say what is necessary to prevent the pitchforks and torches from coming out until the goals are accomplished. Until we acknowledge this and start acting accordingly, we lose.

That would be a start, but unfortunately, Trump is only a symptom of the problem. The republican party, the “democrat” Party leadership and the 3rd Way ‘centrists’ are also parts of the problem. We have been sliding down this right wing rat hole since the 80’s when the Democratic Party was sold to the Koch brothers and other extreme right wing oligarchs. We are going to fix the problems quickly, or ever, at the rate we’re going.
I realize you know all of this PB. Just ranting

Looks like “investigating the investigators” has begun. President Trump [ordered all US intel agencies to assist Attorney General William Barr in his review of surveillance issues surrounding Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign. Trump has long maintained – without any evidence – that entities in the US government were “spying” on his campaign. The President and his allies also want to know how the Russia investigation got started. Now, Barr to look into all of that, including the ability to declassify certain documents that would otherwise stay under wraps. - CNN. As Trump gets more dangerous by the day!

edit because it timed out

We are NOT going to fix the problems quickly…,

Isn’t that saying “bad rubbish” Owl?

“Her most important supporters, finally sick of living in Groundhog Day, decided enough was enough.”
But in Groundhog Day the protagonist gets better in the end. The beauty of all this is that now the Brits will install another Tony Blair type just in time to support the American invasion of Iraq…oooops, I mean Iran.
