So we can expect hard grilling of Clinton at the NY debate on Thursday...

Crickets...

Took Common Dreams a full extra day to grab this story. i saw it at Sputnik two nights ago, and the original Fox story was earlier that day.

i think, with the style of their in-house Common Dreams news writing, they had to wait for some other media reaction, so they could report that as part of the story?

So glad to see finally the tables are turning on HRC. Hilary Clinton is NOT QUALIFIED to run for president of USA. And as Mr. Cruz has suggested may and should face criminal charges for her missuses of the government email system, etc...mishaps. Neither Mrs. Clinton nor her entourage read the trends of the American psyche where Bernie Sanders had read it extremely accurately. Clinton was trying to duplicate her husband's methods of moving the democratic party closer to the neocons and Zionists not realizing at all the force of the undercurrents. I think she is on a rapid decline mode from which she will never recover.

Hillary (along with Obama) cannot hide from the Libyan debacle or her central role in it! The destruction of the stable Libyan mostly secular society and murder of Qaddafi are a glaring error in judgment and moral compass, and disqualification to be "CInC! When all Hillary's other banker/wall Street/financial parasite baggage shilling for the 1% are added to her performance on war and destabilization (not to mention her Israeli/AIPAC boot licking) disqualify her as presidential material entirely - unless what you want is more of the same corruption and incompetence!

The Dem Party (and voters) should look long and hard at what they want! The destruction of the party, such as it is, potential loss of the WH, losses instead of gains in Congress with very possibly a switch from GOP/bagger control OR - and listen-up you "super-delegates" - support Bernie Sanders and rebuild the Party (as it should be), retain the WH now and into the future with Bernie's likely woman running mate, AND regain control of Congress both houses!

The choice is right there - the national polls show the potentials - either go down with the Clintons or rise-up with Bernie Sanders!

Hmmm have no fear commondreams, we shall boldly go where no American has gone since the 1960's

Meanwhile, back at the primaries, after Bernie's "bad week," Hillary has surged in the most recent polls, widening her lead in New York to 14 - 16 points. It now appears that she will clean up the vast majority of the state's 291 delegates, effectively ending the Sanders momentum, if not his electoral hopes.

The election will then become a choice of lesser monstrous evils. Time to blow up this maggot eaten two party system.

I'm thinking of writing in my dog, Mickie. He's a good ol' boy.

Looks like Obama wasn't happy with Bill Clinton's March 21, 2016 admonition to attendees at a Clinton rally in Spokane, Washington to "vote for Hillary so we can put the awful legacy of the past 8 years behind us".

#10

Thanks for putting "bad week" in quote marks, as it was entirely manufactured.

#12

And a "bad week" for Sanders is when he has to take the time out from his normal, substantive campaigning to prove everything he's being accused of is NOT TRUE.

#13

webwalk: Thanks for putting "bad week" in quote marks, as it was entirely manufactured.

Of course I understand that. It was initiated by one of the Clintons' billionaire supporters, Mortimer ("Mortie) Zuckerman, the New York City real estate investor who also owns, publishes, and controls editorial content of the New York Daily News and the U.S. News and World Report. It started with the editorial hit job on the pages of the New York Daily News which pushed the line that Sanders has no understanding of the banking system and, as a "one issue candidate," is curiously devoid of ideas on how to accomplish his goal of breaking up the big banks. From there it went to "BERNIE'S SHAME," (New York Daily News headline) in which Sanders was made responsible for the mass shooting of children at Sandy Hook Elementary School, as a result of Vermont's "lax gun laws." Hillary also blamed Sanders for gun crime in New York: "Per capita, more guns used in crimes in New York were imported from Senator Sanders' home state than any other" (truth: the vast majority of guns imported into NYC are from Ohio and Pennsylvania).

Unfortunately, these Nixonian campaign tactics seem to have had the desired effect.

  • The Democratic Party should return Roosevelt's ideals of Common Good, Socio-Democracy and Keynesian Economy.

    • Neocons and Neoliberals, should create their political party and stop infiltrating Democratic and Republican parties

    • The system of Super delegates is not democratic and should stop.

*Primaries should be held in a week end, the same day in the entire country.

When the president told Faux News about his worst day, I thought, Hey, did he just endorse Bernie? Seems I am not the only one that thought that.

#16

At the debate, Sanders ought to ask Clinton:

  1. "Hillary, what do you think about the president referring to the results of his Mideast policy as a total 'shit show'"

  2. "Hillary, do you think that your leading the way for overthrowing Khadaffi led directly to the deaths of Americans at Benghazi?"

  3. "Hillary, how much financial support to you get from the prison-industrial complex?"

  4. "Hillary, are you a captive of Big Pharma? of the health insurance industry?"

  5. "Hillary, have you simply been around the track for too long?"

  6. "Hillary, do Americans really want to listen to your harrangue for the next four and a half years?"

  7. "Hillary: essentially, is power for power's sake what you are all about?"

#17

one more: "Hillary: essentially, did you prostitute yourself with your recent appearance at the AIPAC convention?"

#18

Dream on. The Clintons are poised to sweep the New York primary with its 250+ delegates (the poll margin is now at 15 points and apparently growing). They are on cruise control to Cleveland, and the Democratic nomination, in July (unless the increasingly unstable Bill does something outrageous).

Three laws Hillary broke and Obama is not holding her to account.

The Dem establishment might prefer to go down with their Wall Street bribes and revolving doors. Let them. It is time they broke up. They are too big to exist. We need third parties.

Bernie needs to reconsider his support for Hillary should he lose the nomination. He is being cheated out of it and a recent poll showed that 100% of his supporters would vote for him if he ran as an Independent.

Libya was horrid, to be sure. But, the real " stinker " in the WH catbox is Honduras. And, HRC, Biden and Obysmals' paws are all covered in it. They are no different than Kissinger, in this regard. Possibly worse, since Nixon made no bones about his working definition of " realpolitik ". The horrid trade policies and, ongoing overthrow of the legitimate gov'ts in the South, has led the U.S. to Trumpland. And, it will be our collective, hemispheric, MENA Nightmare. " Subversion and chaos is our most important marketing tool, er.....product. "

There has been some talk about Jill Stein offering Sanders her spot at the top of the Green Party ticket which is on the November ballot in all 50 states. I would vote for that ticket, although I don't think Bernie is willing. Otherwise, a vote for the Greens will be a vote for the Republicans, as the Green Party routinely gets about 1% of the vote.
