Handing billions of dollars to earth-destroying, criminal, negligent, useless corporations such as Boeing and the cruise ship industry, and giving slimy weasels like Mnuchin the ability to dole out public money.
This is far worse than the disgusting Wall Street bailout.
Please call your House member and tell them to join the progressive caucus and oppose this monstrosity: 202-224-3121.

How about that super socialist Bernie Sanders voting to hand trillions to corporation. Sheep dogging, boot licking, cowardly, back stabbing piece of Vermont dog shit. He should be booed ever time he is seen in public and harassed on the internet any time he appears for an interview. AOC, Tlaib, and Omar need to walk away from the slimy piece of crap, break ties with the Democratic Party, and fight for a no vote on the House version especially if it does not contain a UBI for every single USian. This is as bad as the Iraq War vote.

This is what happens when the 99% does not have anyone in congress to represent them.

The bill also permits the federal reserve to purchase real estate bonds. You know, the packages containing the at risk loans. Also purchase industrial and municipal bonds.

The fact is that once the Fed has the say, they will never step back out of the arena once the C-19 virus panic is over.

Janet had attempted to have the large insurance companies under her wing a few years ago, also.

The small amount going to trickle up is very meager compared to the loot going to banks, wall street and large corporations. Future tax payers are paying for world economic and trade structural deficiencies that were not corrected in 2009 by the democrats and continue. The next bubble bursts in 20XX.

I could say this on practically every article presently on CD… gods I loathe this country - its leadership AND most of its people.
Many moons ago I thought most people were decent or at least trying to be so. Now I feel there is ample justification to believe the polar opposite and I heartily do.
Spouse and I just showed a friend the ‘door of no return’ so to speak, when, after we talked of an article we read and supported, that said grocery workers during the pandemic were asking for a little protection AND a modest raise to work in dangerous conditions. The now former friend laughed in our faces and told us that was ridiculous and they were ‘lucky to have a damn job’ as they put it… We don’t need callous people like that in our lives and that was that… this was a friendship of nearly 30 years. Some signs of callousness were there but of course we ignored them because to us they were nothing but thoughtful to us. Now we see what their character is truly made of.
A similar thing I mentioned here I think, with our niece in law…
And the worst…at the rescue we volunteer at, over half the people ( not the elderly btw) just stopped showing up a week or so ago saying they were ‘scared’.
It’s not like there are others there when you are. It’s just you and the animals most of the time. We and a couple of other decent excuses for humanity have been going for long stretches daily now. I take my laptop and work in between ball tossing and cat petting, and clean up duties! We have had an uptick in adoptions since the pandemic hit which I sure hope is a modest sign of decency to cling to…
A crisis sure tells you who people are deep down… I feel I have been too naive a fool for many years. Was it Lily Tomlin who said something about you can never be too cynical- things are always worse or something?
Sorry for the downer post all. I really feel weighted with pessimism this morning…

How about your pathetic backing of Tulsi Modi, a war criminal and supporter of Hindu terrorists and Dementia Joe Biden.
Bernie shouldn’t have voted for this bill and I’ve lost all faith in him if he did.
But your vicious slagging of him proves again that YOU are a piece of shit.
GFY.

“Over and over, the American people are told there is ‘no money’—for student debt relief, for Medicare for All, for a Green New Deal, to create millions of jobs and save our planet. And now, at the moment when the American people are most in need, our coffers are being looted by the wealthy and well-connected.”

And no money for ventilators and Hospitals across the US America now contemplating a do-not-resuscitate orders for COVID-19 patients regardless of the wishes of said patients and /or their families (reported by The Washington Post, 3/25)

What are these millionaire elites in the Senate doing? Serving their billionaire funders with trillions of taxes payed disproportionately by the not-so-wealthy, this after a number of tax cuts they received.

This is a stick-up, folks. They are coming for our safety net to shred it further.

Total, non cooperation is at our disposal if boycotts fail to convince the duopoly.

As the article says, now it’s the House’s turn. I hope all the CD readers who are still Dem-defenders, and still think there is a meaningful difference between the parties will pay attention.

Oh Ye of little faith. Mnuchin is in charge of the bailout----- A former Goldman Sucks Exec, Board Member with Eddy Lambert’s Sears Holdings, sued for asset stripping of Sears and Kmart, bought up IndyMac from Obama’s TARP, renamed it OneWest Bank where he became King of Home Foreclosures, sued for falsifying mortgage records. I rate him as the most qualified individual in the Trump Admnistration to lead the looting of America.

Totally in sympathy because I have had similar experiences.

This pandemic is bringing out the best and worst in our species. Very difficult for US Americans to overcome the selfishness they have been propagandized with since childhood but still we must press on.

Bernie has a lot of strong, populist principles. . .that he’s not quite willing to act on when it matters.

You must be over the age of 70, assuming that your earliest memories of the USA began to form at age 5.

The picture that accompanies the article says it all. If Mitch McConnell is giving a thumbs-up, this is surely a terrible bill.

If you are the dealer, I’m out of the game
If you are the healer, it means I’m broken and lame
If thine is the glory then mine must be the shame
You want it darker
We kill the flame

Magnified, sanctified, be thy holy name
Vilified, crucified, in the human frame
A million candles burning for the help that never came
You want it darker

Hineni [“I am here”]
Hineni [“I am here”]
I’m ready, my lord

There’s a lover in the story
But the story’s still the same
There’s a lullaby for suffering
And a paradox to blame
But it’s written in the scriptures
And it’s not some idle claim
You want it darker
We kill the flame

They’re lining up the prisoners
And the guards are taking aim
I struggled with some demons
They were middle class and tame
I didn’t know I had permission to murder and to maim
You want it darker

Hineni [“I am here”]
Hineni [“I am here”]
I’m ready, my lord

Magnified, sanctified, be thy holy name
Vilified, crucified, in the human frame
A million candles burning for the love that never came
You want it darker
We kill the flame

If you are the dealer, let me out of the game
If you are the healer, I’m broken and lame
If thine is the glory, mine must be the shame
You want it darker

Hineni [“I am here”]

This is what the “pandemic” is really about! It’s the Shock Doctrine on a scale Americans have never seen - and it’s bipartisan!. What a victory for the ruling class! The Democrats did their job distracting an ever more restive population with Russiagate, Ukrainegate and an impeachment process designed to fail. Then they were easily able to sidetrack the massive popular support around Bernie Sanders during the primaries for FDR (not socialist) like programs which should be considered a minimum. Now a “crisis” comes along and all the pieces come together. But the Dems are not done giving to the ruling class: the gift of an “oppostion” candidate (Biden) who can’t even put together a coherent sentence to defeat Trump in November.

Not long from now, Trump in his service to the super rich (like Ronny Reagan - enemy of working people) will be regarded as one the greatest US presidents by our lapdog Press.
