Pelosi should endorse Trump to assure his departure…

If MA can rid us of Richie Neal, and CA of Pelosi, the Democrat contingent in Washington would be greatly improved. Those two are poster monsters for what the party has degenerated to, in service to money.

Take that Nancy, maybe you need to be quite, stay home, and eat your expensive ice cream.

Their heads would EXPLODE if those two lose! Which is why they are going out of their way to smear their challengers in any way possible.

Time for Nancy to join the hillary in the woods. Buh Bye.

Amen. I believe the Democratic Party has decided to draw the line in Massachusetts, saying to progressives in essence, you shall not pass.
Of course they seem to have the kennedys on board the conservadem train, so that will pull a lot of weight.
It appears that progressive thought within the Democratic hierarchy was buried with Ted Kennedy’s casket.

Good to know others donating are of a like mind. I don’t live in Mass but really hope Morse and Markey win and Neal, Kennedy, and Pelosi lose.

We know Republican candidates are blithely unaware of the desire for real change, but what the hell is wrong with Democrats? Everywhere people want to see change (with progressive candidates) not a promise to return to the same old same old crap (with centrists) that was in place before Trump.

Geez, Democrats this is your chance. There is most likely to be a “Blue Crush” across the board (Democrats take the House the Senate the White House) come November. Don’t friggin squander it. Listen to the people.

Much as I want this method of campaign financing to end it is heartening to read that Progressives are more than holding their own. We must claw the party away from the destructive anti Roosevelt excursion that Clinton put the party on with predictable results.

Please be aware that there’s still reason to keep on hoping for a progressive party. There’s a new “political home” available to you and me and the millions of other progressives who are longing for a government truly intent on improving our lives rather than keeping us down, a government that’s not bought off and controlled by big the oligarchs and the big corporations.

Can we have a government that’s not controlled by the neo-liberals and unduly influenced by the military-industrial complex? The answer is yes, if we’re prepared to support and fight for a political party that’s willing, in turn, to fight for something better.

From 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Eastern time on August 30, a mere 8 days from now, that upstart Movement for a People’s Party will conduct it’s virtual convention. Please, please, please do not let it take place without your presence, for that would be a crying shame. You can attend simply by registering and logging on at the designated time.

Here’s a brief excerpt from the Movement’s website:

The People’s Convention will discuss plans to build the largest party in America in the next four years, including building local hubs and state parties, sending representatives to Congress and local office in 2022, and winning the presidency in 2024. We will discuss why we must finish the political revolution in a major new people’s party and how we can do it.

Now, I don’t know how it’s going to turn out but this, I do know. It will only work if enough progressives and others hoping for a better future for themselves and those they love finally come together to make it happen. And if sufficient numbers participate, that progressive political party with meaningful impact on the quality of our lives and the lives of our loved ones will become a reality and a force to be reckoned with. Go to their website, register for the convention scheduled for August 30 and show up. It could work!

So glad to hear her endorsement backfired. She deserves nothing less for her hypocrisy.

This grassroots idea can’t begin at the end of an election cycle. It has to start up after this election when it will have three plus years to grow. An idea the Greens have hoped for for many years.
It took most of a whole cycle for Jesse Ventura to muster enough support to be viable.
Bernie had a similar beginning, but sadly that hasn’t worked out because his heavy support was not enough to overcome all of the obstacles.

I’m not trying to burst your bubble, just caution you to be realistic.

Three progressives have defeated incumbent conservadems this cycle, Morse would be 4th IF he wins.
Five r-party incumbents have been defeated by primary challenges from their right.

In open seats, progressives have done okay in primaries, just okay.

As for the blue wave in 2018, lots of conservadems won in swing districts.

More evidence the neolib wing of the democratic party is failing.

If Trump wins in November (and it isn’t likely, but he could); it will be a complete and total repudiation of Clinton/Obama/Biden neoliberalism and the democratic party. If this is the case and Trump wins, a progressive party needs to be formed over the next four years, the democrat one can go ahead and complete the merge w/republicans.
