This is good news--Vets for Peace is a very fine group of citizens willing to go forward with their own experience of bloody and unjust war to try to promote dialogue and justice rather than occupation and death. The group in my area of Lehigh Valley, PA sets up a Memorial Day display each year of all the PA veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan service who have been killed. They have constructed moveable grave markers, with names and places, dates of death. It is set up in one of our biggest and most used city parks at a busy intersection, seen and visited by locals. I always go, walk down the lines of markers, and read each name of the hundreds who died from PA. I help take it down at end of day. And there is a continuing last Saturday of the month demonstration in Horsham, Pa (by Philly), in front of the Air Force base, against the coming drone command center there. It is organized by the local Quaker and assorted Peace activists from all around the area.
