One day after the President of the United States released his latest authoritarian trial balloon, his allies in the Senate have sought to make it clear, in case there was any doubt, that they have jettisoned their obligations to defend the Constitution and will instead defend The Leader.
Until the Corporate State does self destruct, it’s unlikely we’ll ever have a Democracy. Trump and the parties are a daily reminder of a constitution that was born of greed and corruption. Burn it down, and be prepared to create our true, great Democratic destiny!
Our first reform: eliminate so-called elections and use a jury pool of all law abiding adult Americans to fill a federal parliament that hires executives like a corporate board! No more $$$ politics…just REAL DEMOCRACY!
Remember in “The Wizard of Oz” the winged monkeys that served the Wicked Witch of the West, well, Mitch McConnell is the head monkey, “Chistery Nikko.”
Trump, is the whiney little bitch starring as the Witch.
Exactly, and that is what I was about to post. Remove as much money from politics as possible. Stage two. Have a moratorium like when Vietnam or east-west Germany were allowed to relocate before the shit hit the fan.
With no profiteering in congress allow congress critters to switch parties. And then move on.
The stock market freaks out today on the wings of Trump’s China trade policy. So today the left and right sort of hold hands on money policies. But the right is just fine with Trump’s lies, disgusting behaviors on sex and bigotry, and selling out our environment for a few bucks. And more of course, they are dug in and “Deplorable” all the way to the bank along with Schumer and company.
If you’d like a good read about how 95 to 97% of the voters “enable” these thieves to take all the wealth out of our country, try, “Winners Take All” the Elite Charade of Changing the World written by Anand Giridharadas.
It certainly has confirmed my beliefs at how most Americans have allowed the decline of the Middle Class to happen.
We got it out at the local library.
There may be a waiting list.
“Switch parties…then move on…”
HOW ABOUT: no parties. NONE. You do not need a party to have a platform. You only need a party to control the candidates and manipulate (read: lie to) the voters. Oh, and to steal elections. Yeah. Nearly forgot.
Every republican that is obstructing justice, and there are many, need to be charged and tried. The democrats need to bring all guns to bear. Our police forces need to be advised as to who, and what directives to follow.
Our military needs to be questioned at all levels to see if they are ready to defend the constitution of the United States of America, or a coup led by Trump.
This sounds like over-the-top talking, but I think we had better get ready for some sort of fight.
love your take on this ponyboy!! well put, but the name should be “bitch mcconnell”!
That might imply he’s a “dog,” and that would be an insult to Dogdom.
McConnell is a way, way much lower life form than a dog.
Read the book. Saw the author last Saturday night. We’ve got to stop accepting charity from those who have stolen from the treasury by manipulating tax laws to their favor. We don’t need charity by those who want to direct how it is used and who runs things. We need higher marginal tax rates on these people and then - we the people - will spend the money according to our priorities - not those of the rich donor. This game is up. Change is now.
McConnell is there everyday subverting the best interests of most americans in favor of his rich donors. I see the guy as a traitor and believe he should be treated as one. The Koch brothers have been paid back a thousand times for their investments in the takeover of the U.S. government. They also are traitors and need to end up in the same prison next to McConnell.
Calling the GOP and “authoritarian outfit” may have been true during the 20th century, During the 21st century the GOP has operated like an organized crime syndicate. Trump is the best godfather they have ever had and Barr their best consigliere.
