Murderous Fail After Fail

If We the People don’t take charge and shut down this criminal gang that has just about completed their desire to destroy the Constitutional Government of the United States of America and replace it with an Oligarchic Plutocracy that can take it all and enslave We the People, our current Fourth Reich may well become the future until Nature bats last and we join the dinosaurs.
**Remember, We the People can shut this nation down by a massive strike. We can choose our own people to run the government of the People, by the People and for the People. And there are enough of us to ensure that these criminals, their lackeys and the buffoons that run them are tried in a true court of We the People and true justice is meted out, not bought and sold by the highest bidder.
**After our success, our work will really begin, because it will take all of us to do the necessary damage control to keep the ship of state afloat and functioning as a part of the world community.
**Then We the People of the World will all have to work together to save the planet, our home, and reduce and repair the damage and rape that have been done to Her.
**I think We the People can do it, if we work together!

It has already happened—it’s just called social distancing, sheltering in place, and self quarantining. If Pwesident Twump at some point declares the emergency over and orders the economy opened up for business, how we respond will determine our future.

Hi Guild,
**This is only marginally on point, but perhaps worth mentioning. My wife was watching CNN on the television and said there was a whole news program on tRump and what was currently going on. She said that he was never referred to as President on that newscast. He was just Mr. trump. That may well be a positive sign. At least, I hope so!

That is good news, but I would have been a lot more impressed with the press if they had at any point during the last three years called him out on the unending lies and basically done their job. They are very much complicit in this situation.

Reports indicate that the impact of the virus up here in Canada was much greater than it needed to be due to a slow initial Government response. When you compare the response here in Canada , as flawed as it was that response was exponentially better. This demonstrates just how incompetent Trump was.

All the things Trump uses as excuses happened in other Countries. That all Countries have different outcomes suggests leadership and the nature of the respective health systems played a role. It was claimed prior to this happening that the USA was the best prepared of any Country on Earth to face a pandemic. It obvious this did not turn out to be the case.

The status quo, if based on a power-over, dominator paradigm, hates change in any form. When a threat appears, it’s first response is denial. Nope, nothing wrong here. Just like the flu. It’s all a hoax. However, sooner or later, like a three year old being told that his lighting a match burned down the house and that he can no longer deny it, those in power do the least amount possible to help, making sure they remain in power. So…we have Donny being told back in mid-January the house is on fire and we need to call the fire department, he puts his fingers in his ears and says, “I can’t hear you, I can’t hear you!” It was only when the fire spread to other houses that he got our a fire extinguisher and sprayed at the places where there weren’t fires, meanwhile making the neighbors call the fire department. And then bid against each other for the equipment.
The few adults in the room, fearful of Donny’s wrath, his vengeance, and of being fired, told him what he wanted to hear. Only one dared to speak up, sort of. And he’ll be fired by the end of the week.
This is late stage predatory disaster capitalism at its worst. If you think ANY government on this planet will do the right thing, I’m bursting your bubble. The status quo must be upheld at all costs, even if it’s body bags and mass graves.
As for Canada, may I sadly refer you to the mass murders at Heron Long Term Care Facility near Montreal. 31 Elders dead, most by starvation, not by Covid. Appears the staff just took off after being overwhelmed and not getting help from the owner. You know he/she/them will get off scot free and some poor schmuck near the bottom of the food chain will be severely punished.

The vast majority of COVID19 deaths here in Canada happened in old folks homes. Most of these homes are privately owned. The respective Governments from the get go should have recognized that these homes would require extra attention and resources and they did not act.

One can not assume that a privately run enterprise will act in the best interests of patients and workers. They will always look to profits first. As you suggest it the worker on the ground that will get the blame for this and not the people who profit off (not)caring for the elderly.

Much like the USA the Canadian Government received reports from its intelligence agencies and other entities that Canada would be hit by this virus. They knew the fatality rate much higher in the elderly and they knew that the disease spread more readily when peoples concentrated in a small area. They should have been throwing resources into those homes beforehand. Had they done so the number of deaths would be a fraction of what it is now.

Of the Government responses worldwide I think New Zealand performed the best.

For all the sick apologists of private health care who have relentlessly claimed America has the best health care system in the world, lol, isn’t it incredulous how the best medicine has produced even more deaths than a country (China) with what, approximately four times the population of the U.S.? And communist to boot…!!!
Disconnection with reality is a severe mental pathology.

Just about all Longterm Care facilities or Assisted Living/Memory Care are privately or corporate owned. Privately funded or pay just means they don’t accept Medicaid. They are either regulated by Health Services (federal) or a combination of State and Federal regulations. (Community care)

This includes Intermediate care and a few other things too.

Up here in Canada there a mix of Private long term care homes and Public ones. There are more Private ones than there are Public ones.

BEFORE this pandemic a study done that should that seniors were almost 20 percent more likely to die within 6 months of arrival in a Privately run home than one run by the Government. Keep in mind that most of the Public ones serve poorer Canadians who are generally in worse health when they arrive.

Here there are risks and benefits for both. They are all licensed and regulated by the same agencies of the government with the Federal requirements being the strongest. I really wonder how any of them will meet their licensing requirements in this pandemic? Every facility has the results of this evaluation and is required by law to make it available to the public. That being said, sometimes they operate with impunity. Additionally, Medicaid has a website that details things like staffing ratios, infection control, and deficiencies that need correction.

Edited: It is also very difficult to adapt to that kind of environment as a old or disabled person.

is it just conicidence that NEW ZEALAND has a WOMAN Leader --who ALSO had the guts to respond to the Mass Murder of Muslims in a SANE

It’s like a layer cake for the lack of a better term. In this country at the top - the top layer is comprised of the Oligarchs - ruling class (like the 12 billionaires who’s combined wealth is over a $Trillion dollars). The middle layer is nearly every politician in DC, including the White House, probably most judges probably on the Supreme Court, other Federal Courts, SEC, Governors across the land, etc etc - essentially the government which is controlled by the Top layer. And finally the bottom layer is the working and ordinary people who suffer, mostly with no power or much money, or in poverty (ever increasing).

This system is a failed system. Due to this predatory capitalism that we have today (and over the last 40 years) our country is now in an epic fail.
