New Analysis Shatters Narrative of Charter School Success

Public schools are outperforming charter schools in Minnesota, in some cases "dramatically," according to a new analysis by the state's Star-Tribune newspaper.

In addition, many charter schools fail to adequately support minority students, close examination of the data revealed.

Now that the data is starting to roll in, the true nature of charter schools is begining to reveal itself. I haven't found an example yet of where the reality of privatization has lived up to the promises of those who advocated it- whether schools, jails or whatever. It seems that those advocates were delivering whatever sales pitch they needed to to create a money making opportunity for themselves much like the cliche regarding used car salesmen.
