New EPA Study Shows Clear Public Health and Economic Benefits of Acting on Climate Change

WASHINGTON - A new peer-reviewed study released by the EPA on Monday demonstrates that global action on climate change will prevent thousands of deaths and boost the U.S. economy by billions of dollars.

The peer-reviewed study, part of EPA’s Climate Change Impacts and Risk Analysis (CIRA) project, comes in the wake of an historic Encyclical on climate and ecology by Pope Francis and ahead of international negotiations for a deal on global climate action in Paris later this year.
