The “minimum” wage is not intended to “help” low-wage workers. Let’s cut this lib/prog BS. Every worker has a RIGHT to a LIVABLE WAGE and every person has a RIGHT to a decent Universal Basic Income that provides for all necessities and a bit more.

In Portland, Or. you better be making $17.50-18.00 an hour for an honest 40 hr. week, or you’re in financial stress. Yes, that’s about $2900 -3000 a month, and it’s the cold hard truth. Better have a decent benefit package, as well. Harsh, right?
It’s not going to cheaper, either.
