New Jersey Gov. Christie Signs Bill 'Siding With Private Water Companies' Over Public Water

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie signed into law on Thursday legislation that critics say sells out the state's water supply and democratic process for private profits.

The Water Infrastructure Protection Act, which purportedly aims to address aging infrastructure , allows for fast-tracking of sales of municipal water systems to private entities.

Well... given the Republican platform, to be expected. I'm glad he's tipped his hand prior to the actual political campaign.

Cristy is a loud mouth fat assed corporate shill...Nothing more...

Water bills be sure to skyrocket...not unlike they did before water became a public utility (thank you, FDR) leaving those who live paycheck to paycheck not only having to choose whether to pay the rent or put gas in the car but also having to make the hard choice to forgo both to pay the water bill. Christy embodies all that is wrong in the world of politics on all levels in our nation today.

I want this man to step down now. He contributes nothing good to NJ.

Does anyone remember Enron? They, too, were trying to corner the water rights/public water sectors of our country (and other countries, too) just as they collapsed. Imagine a few owning one of the necessities of human life, and it goes up for grabs to the highest - profit seeking - bidder ... over and over and over. Look up "Range Wars" and then imagine it on a profit-driven, religiously-tainted global scale.

They want to buyout God/Gaia/Life itself.
