The 2020 election will be won or lost depending upon the young voters.
If Bernie is the Democratic nominee, then the young voters will come out in droves and he will easily win the election against Trump, with enough margin to overcome the normal Republican voter shenanigans (i.e. election fraud).
If Biden is the nominee, the young voters will stay home and Trump will Tromp him.
I hope there will be an even stronger push for an alternative movement by folks who support Sanders if(when) the power structure succeeds in getting Biden, or Buttigeig, selected.
If Sanders wins these first two or wins one and comes in second in the other, it looks like he may have a good chance to go all the way.

I haven’t expected a different result for at least a year. Bernie Sanders was extremely popular. He had (and has) a standard of personal integrity that sets him apart from the field. He had an army of volunteers and he still has them. The rallies were always large. The fundraising was always major.
Buying your own media outlets and running on a drumbeat of slanted news doesn’t work on the Democratic side. Michael Bloomberg isn’t winning. Monopolizing the insider endorsement market doesn’t work either.

“Would you raise or lower taxes on multinational-national corporations?”
“Do you believe that endless consumption of goods primarily manufactured in China is good for the planet?”
“Do you believe that the rapid extinction of all species on the planet is a bad sign for humanity”?
“Do you believe that democratically governments in foreign countries should be overthrown if they don’t agree to American corporate ideology?”
I’m not sure what the answers would be, but it would be a good indicator of just how brainwashed the American public is.
I think it’s too soon to be advising candidates (yes, that I AGREE with) to proactively give up the ghost. Especially when either one of them would be several steps up from our current abysmal abortion-of-a President.
One way or the other, one of them will get the pick, and the other one will get the VP slot in the ticket. At this point, I don’t think one has any more credibility than the other, whether it’s Bernie, or Elizabeth.
ESPECIALLY since, for both of them, since they AGREE with each other as to the needs of the country (which notably INCLUDES, for both of them, the needs of the CITIZENS of the country), whether or not one or the other “gets” the top slot in the ticket, the other of that pair WILL be doing valuable, or even notable, things as well in the VP role.
Because these two are already making themselves valuable partners to each other – as the best of ticket-mates do.
I’d just avoid panicking for now, since they do get along so well with each other’s priorities.

It is not just lies ! It is comments which display total lack of understanding of the problems that we now face. Comments which are meant only to provoke and show lack of any sensibility or depth of understanding or thought.
It puts a huge target on Bernie’s back, being at the top of the polls when all of the “experts” said he was a has-been before he even declared. I have no doubt the party establishment has their knives out for him, and I await the smear campaign that is absolutely coming before the Iowa caucuses. Brace for it now, and have your counter-attack ready.
