Sounds like a textbook class action lawsuit to me.

This worker is a hero for the working class and for all people of good will. Bosses tend to do that to heroes who stand up to them. It takes real courage to overcome fear and in this case one’s livelihood.

Glad legal action is being considered and this current struggle across our globe may just be radicalizing a whole new generation. Good.

Bezos and Mnuchin should be among the first to stand trial before a People’s Tribunal. We will need cooperation from a few members of their security details. Once that cooperation is secured, choose the right time to perform a People’s arrest. Hustle them off to an empty warehouse at the edge of the city and put them on trial. Take the death penalty off the table; it has no place in the civilized society we are trying to create. Broadcast the proceedings live on the internet. Appoint defense counsel for them. Make them enter their pleas, shackled, with burly guards beside them. When the criminal justice system has been thoroughly corrupted to serve criminal monsters at the top, when laws and prosecutors and judges and prison wardens all work for the corporate class, People’s tribunals are the only recourse to balance the scales of Justice. Think of Nuremberg. The Nuremberg Tribunals are the model for what needs to happen to those who comprise or abet the US predatory corporate class. Leading politicians of both corporate parties, treasonous judges and prosecutors, leading military officers, leading propagandists… all of them need to be taken off the streets and put in shackles, in docks at People´s Tribunals.

It never ceases to amaze me that people with so much wealth can never let up and not become such flaming assholes. How much money do they need? Why can they never know that they have more wealth than they can ever need and not stop abusing others for more gain? Their lack of ability to stop taking advantage of others shows that they are true sociopaths. My question is, were they always sociopaths or does wealth turn them into sociopaths?

I admit that yours is an attractive fantasy of justice, but it is just that, a fantasy. And Nuremberg trials only prosecuted the war criminals on the losing side. The winning side’s war crimes have never been punished and this continues with war crimes since then and currently happening. But Julian Assange, Chelsea Manning, and Edward Snowden are/have faced the wrath of our “justice” system.

I hope the New York AG shoves a wrongful termination lawsuit so far up that pompous Bezos ass hole so far his eyes pop out.

It’s only a fantasy until it begins to occur and come into focus. The idea of a new constitution ensuring a life of dignity for all citizens was just a fantasy for Chileans… until last October when they finally lost their fear and rose up against their brutal neoliberal government. Today, they are preparing to vote to approve a constitutional assembly. Profound social transformation is always sudden and surprising to those at the top, and to those who have been conditioned to accept the status quo.

But perhaps you are correct. Perhaps People’s Tribunals will not take place. After the US People overthrow their neoliberal status quo, perhaps they will opt for the South African model and adopt a Truth and Reconciliation process instead of People’s Tribunals.

Either way, the current economic-political order in the US is moribund, terminally ill. It will soon die. And those who created it and defended it will get what they deserve. This is not a fantasy. It is a fact of nature. The rage of the People, once it swells, will not be denied. I have witnessed this first-hand in Chile, the original laboratory of neoliberalism. The US will not be far behind.

I just watched comedian (so they call him) Dennis Miller on Youtube bitching about how stupid young people are for getting worthless college degrees and going into debt. He looked like an old alcoholic. Never occurred to him that the ruling class holds out college degrees over the heads of the young as if they were golden carrots and then a predatory lending industry is allowed to screw those kids trying desperately to get ahead.
Miller and all the old Fox News watching cretins are dying off, thank god. And the young more socialist minded generation will take over. LIKE DAY FOLLOWS NIGHT. IT’S COMING YOU OLD RACIST BASTARDS. YOUR TIME IS UP.

Let’s hope it doesn’t go the way of Egypt, a failed revolution. Spain has a socialist prime minister right now.

can we get a petition going that Mr. Smalls gets some restitution for doing what is right for himself & other workers? I worked at Amazon., it’s horrible…they don’t care about you…you are only a machine to Amazon…replaceable.
People only work there because there is no safety net & they have no alternative, like I did…

Chris Small is… BIG! Thanks Chris for your civic responsibility. Sorry to hear that you, like many who push back against the machine, are targeted and punished for having the audacity to speak truth to power. Imagine that Chris - that you are equal!!!

Hope you win a very big law suit and retire healthy, wealthy and happy, using your financial largesse to create the society that stops accumulations of capital from coercing workers and enacting inequality and deception.

Rage against the machine wisely.

My employer is doing the exact same thing, as are tens of thousands around the country. The government has issues stay home orders, but they only apply to small businesses, as for call centers, and large corporate operations, they have to work or get fired, even quite often when the work at home option is completely viable.

Bezos is playing with fire. He’s become complacent from years of aristocratic rule. He is staring at a beast and doesn’t realize it.

It’s not just the individual plutocrats, it’s the capitalist mode of production and the class struggle.

“Take the death penalty off the table; it has no place in the civilized society we are trying to create.” You fail you understand that people like Bezos and Mnuchin are a form of virus more lethal than any other form and should be treated as such. They can’t be stopped short of eradication. Don’t misplace survival with “civilized.”

Eres tĂş, Che? Estoy de acuerdo, pero esa erradicaciĂłn no es la funciĂłn del Tribunal del Pueblo.

The eradication you suggest is not the function of a People’s Tribunal. Deliberate killing, except in self-defense, should never be done in the name of the People. When a maximum security cell is available, an appeal to self-defense is spurious.
