'No Platform for Fascists': Event Honoring Bolsonaro Will Not Be Held at Museum Primary

Eoin Higgins, staff writer

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro is not welcome at the American Museum of Natural History.

That's the message sent by the institution, which Monday evening chose not to host a May 14th black-tie event honoring Bolsonaro.

The event, a gala hosted by the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce, was to honor Bolsonaro as Brazilian Person of the Year.

I’m with the American Museum of Natural History. Jair Bolsonaro doesn’t deserve to be honored, he deserves to be dishonored. He praises former military dictators all over Latin America including Brazil, is homophobic, sexist & racist & wants to destroy the Native Brazilians’ habitats by destructing the environment with a little help from his friend, Donald Trump. Trump selected him to be Brazil’s next leader.

Agree, but I expect Trump will push back against the museum (not sure what he can do), how dare they turn down his fascist friend.
