I see no problem as long as the CEO’s eat lunch in the employees cafeterias mixing in close quarters with other employees.

The public as usual will get the dregs as government/corporate/banker/oil industry and other capitalist parasites siphon-off the vast majority of the “stimulus package”!
The ordinary people, seniors, those not “producing” for the oligarchy - ie wage and debt/interest slaves - will be abandoned to their fate as every time before, while the wealthy, and their two-party political sycophants, the trump regime criminal scum, the business-as-usual DINO sellouts conspire to gift themselfes and cronys billions while the 99% go begging and die. Predictably the masses will abjectly and cravenly bow and lap-up the lies and deceit as timid boot-lickers.

If there is any take-away it is that the 99% are expendable and wealth and the mechanisms of wealth are the only thing important to the government Of, By, and For exploitation, corruption, and profits above all else, even the Earth itself, secure their shallow./corrupt future while the rest struggle just to survive!

The revolution must be now and we ignore it at our perile, but are too weak and craven in our fear and tribal separation to act even for our own survival!!

A low paid working person recently asked me if they would get paid if they stayed home. She was concerned about elderly parents (one with COPD) who told her to stay home. So far she hasn’t. Will her rent be waived? But the cruise line industry will be okay even if their workers won’t be.

“If we have to rent strike, general strike, whatever has to happen, we will not die for oligarchs’ quarterly profit margin,”

Well, hats-off to you, Benjamin Dixon!

What Revolution? This is not the sixties and people should realize that the word is counterproductive. We need reformation (not the religious kind)! We can’t change anything right now and pretending that we could is ridiculous. We aren’t craven about anything. We are just regular people who are worried and many have it tough. Just who would run things in a revolution? Nobody would and who the f’k is ready for that.

In the past famine and desperation drove most revolutions (not ours as it so happens). Ordinary people were driven by hardship to endure chaos believing even chaos would be better for a time. We have a dozen years before our climate stomps us. We need reform not chaos. Chaos is coming on it’s own … we don’t need to make it worse.

I hate this timeline.

Yeah, I was using that term very loosely, more to reference reforms in a very major way, not violence per se. I agree with what you write, but the ability to influence revolutionary reforms needed slips further and further away.

Agreed and it will demand we open not only our hearts to courage but our intellects to imagination.

Total, non cooperation if General Strike does not move these cretins.

Prior to Saint Ron ascending the throne in 1981 the economy existed to serve us. Since then the 99% have been reduced to being nothing more than grease for the money machine.

Boloney. Time for everyone to see the recent film, Revolution of the Heart: The Dorothy Day Story, a film by Martin Doblemeier. If “Reformation” makes you more comfortable then call it that but stop berating those of us who describe what we need as revolution, a 360 degree change and not band aids.

From the Wall Street Grasshoppers, Trump and the Media

Hopper: Let this be a lesson to all you ants! Ideas are very dangerous things! You are mindless, soil-shoving losers, put on this Earth to serve us!

Flik: You’re wrong, Hopper. Ants are not meant to serve grasshoppers. I’ve seen these ants do great things, and year after year they somehow manage to pick food for themselves and you. So-so who is the weaker species? Ants don’t serve grasshoppers! It’s you who need us! We’re a lot stronger than you say we are… And you know it, don’t you?

As said: COVID -19 is infected with Capitalism. The moron on CNBC said ‘it would be worth 10-12 million lives to save wall street’. First they lock you in your house but saw the effect on wall street. Now they are asking for volunteers to elbow up at the local pub. Next they will force you out a gun point to save wall street.

Hey…just be a good boy and sit and wait. I am sure, in time, someone will come along and accommodate you.

What really good changes have ever come by saying … " please sir…some more porridge please.

The working class has not had this leverage in a long, long time. It isn’t the executives at McDonalds keeping the company going, it is the workers that are exposed to the virus. If the idea is to expose workers to save this inequitable, rotten, corrupt, undemocratic and environmentally destructive system, there should be a general strike. If those in power continue to sell the store to the lobbyists and their clients, bring the entire system to its knees. This system wasn’t working before the crisis, and it cannot deal with the environmental crisis. If the CEO of a health insurance company wants to maintain this system, let him or her volunteer at a hospital along with nurses and doctors. Let the CEO of McDonalds leave his or her comfy shelter and serve food to the company’s customers. Or, lets see this for what it is and transcend this rotten system. It wasn’t going to let us survive the environmental crisis anyway.

We must move away from anthropocentrism. But we won’t as has been clearly brought to light by C-19. Can you imagine if we reacted to AGW, the sixth extinction with the same level of gravity as C-19?

The fact that we are reacting to the “economy” and human health (the latter I support wholeheartedly)while shoving aside the fact that all the spheres of life are collapsing says it all.

As Joan Robinson states above:

The owners are becoming increasingly worried that their millions of slaves are not working.
The owners are concerned that their slaves are becoming more and more aware that another world is possible. A world where people don’t have to grovel for survival. End stage capitalism.
