Nuclear Midnight Is Closer Than Ever – So Where’s the Resistance?

Allison McGillivray

I watched from the front gates of Vandenberg Air Force Base at 11:39 pm PDT on February 8, 2017 as a pencil-thin beam of light shot above the treeline and disappeared into the atmosphere. The United States had conducted the first test launch of a Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile under Trump’s administration.

I'm wondering...How do you know that there is depleted uranium on the missile? What would be the logic would of putting it there? Also, in the Nuclear Resister movement, you must encounter a lot of undercover FBI people who regard your group as some kind of terrorist? Do you have any sense of how often that happens or who the undercover people are? Do you ever try to engage with them about their actual views? I imagine they are pretty disciplined about not disclosing them. But they may let a few clues drop, here and there.
