Over the last two month France has been rocked by mass protests, occupations and strikes, as a new generation takes to the streets to expresses its rage at labor reforms and growing inequality. Over a million people have mobilized across the country to say on vaut mieux que ça — “we are worth more than this.”
Solution to unemployment: more workers, fewer hours each.
I have to take issue with the title of this article. The economic system is not broken, it's functioning precisely as it's intended - dividing a tiny economic elite from everyone else and syphoning the resources and wealth of the many to that tiny elite.
Not surprising that the French goverment wants to protect the French by clamping down on civil liberties. Shades of the 1840s are happening.
For example the wealth of the richest 782 people could power half the world with 100% renewable energy.
Those kind of statements boggle the mind. Revolution anyone? Liberté, égalité, fraternité!
