NY “high society” loved to send money to corporate dems then go out for dinner with Koch at Lincoln Center.

Well, now the slumlord superdelegates can start cooking us with GAS, as we all energize the glitterati while shifting their properties’ carbon footprints into Pennsyltucky, where silly ol’ deplorables are dying ickky “deaths o’ despair,” amidst tens of thousands of leaky fracked well-pads… greenwashed by all six of the conglomerate media sources… on “both” sides. It’s kinda spooky to watch the pipe, we threw away from old coating mills and yards near Philly & Harrisburg get slapped together, under NYC streets. I’d remembered 1994(?) when a Panhandle line blew up Edison, NJ. But our betters’ shiny new 1,300’ luxury highrises have (Chinese) steel frames, so flames from all the wood framed tenements will simply require their Maybach and Bentley be moved to the Hamptons, till it’s over?

Philanthropist indeed–giving a little to cure cancer while taking a LOT for causing it.

But it’s the NYT, so what did you expect?

Indeed. But these people regard themselves as a cut above the Establishment. They see themselves as American royalty. They are not by any means all Republicans. Fill in the blank.

A Koch paean bearing no resemblance to The Real Thing ®

Philanthropist. is a word they had to invent to try to make a piece of shit appear to be something other than a piece of shit.

the NYTimes is no longer to be read or trusted. they lie daily by omission and when they cover something of import you can be assured you are not getting the truth as we later know it. UGH. the so-called paper of record, oh yes - for the 1% maybe.

Becoming a philanthropist in modern capitalism functions like buying indulgences during the Middle Ages. Thinking people aren’t fooled.

Nowhere in this article is mention of ALEC, one of the most toxic (literally) legacies of Koch Bros, Inc. and their sucky think tanks.
This ALEC presence comes in the form of boilerplate ‘legislation’ crafted for implementation, nationwide to stop sane policies to stop the polluting and poisoning of our water, air and soil.
Very disappointing reporting.

His obituary is simple: Committed treason. Helped lead a political insurrection to destroy the last vestiges of US democracy. Contributed greatly to the destruction of the US Constitution and helped finance the creation of a fascist government (see melding of corporate interest as that of the state). Climate Terrorists. Helped fund and lead a climate change denial movement that has already dramatically altered the planet’s environment and killed countless species that cohabit this planet with us. The deaths of many of our fellow human beings are also the direct and proximate result of climate change and expected to increase. And he was a jolly good fellow.
