I never heard of Columbia’s Tom Watson, but for the likes of Neera Tanden and O’Bummer himself to come out in support of Sanders tells me they’re afraid of making themselves appear irrelevant otherwise. This is the difference between grass-roots and Astroturf movements.

And will he put on his “comfortable pair of shoes,” like he promised to do for the Wisconsin and Chicago labor strikes? I imagine he’ll campaign for Bernie in the same way. He won’t.

I don’t believe liars.

It is hard to be a democratic socialist in a liberal capitalist party. But Bernie sucked it up and campaigned for Clinton, even after the DNC primary-rigging became public. Hell, Noam Chomsky told us leftists to hold our noses and vote for her. So it’s about time to see some loyalty coming back to Bernie.

Please don’t do us any favors Mr. Obama. You’ve done enough damage already during and after your Presidency.

Best if you just stay at home in your new mansion counting all your Wall Street cash.

Oh Please, they actually think that SNEERA Tanden would EVER support Bernie. This article is one of the worst I have ever seen here! Who’s playing who?

BERNIE 2020

Dems want to make it look like you

This is to give Obama “cover” for attacking Bernie during the primaries and to dull the increasingly sharp and accurate portrait of Obama as a complete opponent of progressive change.

Yet, there have been recent reports of him holding private meetings with Warren, Buttigieg, and perhaps Klobachar.
That being said, I do believe he would accept a Bernie nomination. However, I doubt very much he would campaign for him, as the rise of Bernie’s movement stands as a sharp repudiation of his and the Clintons conservative policies. You know, the policies that made Donald Trump not only possible, but inevitable.
And let’s face it, at the end of the day, Barack Obama never took a stand for or against anything. He is an empty suit, devoid of most human characteristics. Why would we expect him to take a stand now?

Our merry Christmas gift from common dreams.
Eoin quoting “The Hill” as the source!
Has no credit, or verifiable history from obama attitude so far this year.

Fell into trumpisms.

I guess someone told Obama his embrace of Elizabeth Warren was the kiss of death so he’s walking it back.

If Sanders wins the nomination it will bring about the perfect opportunity to respectfully decline the “insincere assistance” of the moneyed interests that Obama represents.

Sanders will need to stick with the horse that brought him - people power and honesty.

Allowing billionaires and bundlers to assist late in the game would cause one to rightly question the sincerity of his beliefs.

Of course he’ll support the eventual nominee. That doesn’t mean he won’t work against Sanders and Warren during the primaries.

Obama’s endorsement will probably as reliable as Joe Lieberman’s of him.

I wonder why the last part of the quote was omitted.

The full quote ends “… not that the DNC will ever allow that to happen, even if he [Bernie] gets every single primary vote.”

Maybe Obama should speak for himself like he did when he bashed Bernie.

B.S. Obama and the insiders know exactly how this thing will play out. No risk involved in promising to “support whoever emerges” at the end of the process. No risk at all.

Yes, Obama knows it will be Biden!

From my perspective, Biden has already been selected, but the dog and pony show by the fake opposition Party has to be played out for the politically gullible.

Obama can read the way the wind is blowing and changes his direction. He has to pay lip service to supporting “Any candidate the DNC nominates” as every other time he opened his yap on the matter (see the Woke stuff) he received backlash. Much the same is true with Neera. She is a complete and utter fraud when it comes to progressive issues and tries to maintain some credibility with her meaningless statements of support for “any candidate that wins”

Back in 2009-10, when RomneyCare was being renamed, we heard at least once from unidentified “insiders” that the public option was on the table.

Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, your name is Lucy Van Pelt.
