'On Message as Always': Sanders Works His Heart Procedure Into Case for Medicare for All as #GetWellBernie Trends

Again, the only purpose of posting was to present the available compelling evidence that refutes and corrects the misinformation you were promoting. No one, especially myself, is trying to tell anyone to eat all the meat they want, nor that there are no health, nutritional, environmental or ethical problems problems with American dietary habits (to include the eating of much more of everything than they should). All I was, and continue to, point out is that the latest scientific and medical understandings (in review across a broad spectrum of modern studies) seems to indicate that there are only minimal, and generally inconclusive, changes in the health of individuals in the general population when the consumption of red meat is eliminated from their diets.

You are free to believe as you please, but the current science does not support your preferred beliefs, and having presented some links to the compelling reviews of some of the latest scientific assessments (and have added a few more with this post), your personal attacks, insults, and rants are uninteresting and without merit.

Adieu

Again – there is no evidence that eating animals is necessary for human
existence. Nor did you present any “compelling” evidence – in fact, the
“evidence” you presented is strongly criticized by Harvard and other teams
of scientists.

But Americans are getting smarter – even if still slowly – and the word is going
out – for the planet and for your own personal health – go Vegetarian - go VEGAN.

And a wonderful by-product of going Veggie/VEGAN is BREAKING THE LONG
CHAIN OF VIOLENCE INVOLVED IN ANIMAL-EATING/DAIRY …

a long chain of violence which most animal-eaters don’t want to think about …
nor have children think about.

There are many compelling reasons why humans should eat much less meat, and there are important ethical and spiritual considerations regarding many people’s desire to eliminate eating animal life altogether. The only issue I raised and commented upon were the comments regarding the harm and dangers of human medical and health concerns regarding the mainstream dietary recommendations put forth by various governmental and health organizations:

Trakar –

There are no reasons whatsoever why human beings should eat animals – or dairy.
And likely this is traceable to the Garden of Eden and “Original Sin.”
Eve still stands with the Apple showing us what happened there …
She’s eating the Apple – not animals.

The compelling reasons for NOT eating animals is the filth, the violence, the hidden
nature of the mass killings of BILLIONS of animals every year –

and the fact that animal fat/dairy is making anyone eating this diet very ill.

Long list of illnesses connected to animal/dairy eating – but we all pretty much know
it clogs your arteries – heart disease, heart attacks, HBP – on and on.

No one any longer advise anything but VERY LIMITED consumption of animals/dairy.
One of the facts noted in links yesterday as pointed out by Harvard critics of your study.

In fact, we have the highest rates of osteoporosis in the world – while we consume vast
quantities of dairy.

Again, you are free to hold and advocate your beliefs, however, your beliefs are not in good accord with the current state of mainstream scientific or medical information and recommendations. As the links provided support and which are completely in accord with my statements and comments, and repeatedly dispute the accuracy of what your beliefs assert and distort with regard to actual issues of heart disease, heart attacks, HBP, and most all of the other issues you choose to lay at the feet of eating meat, rather than the more general issues that most physicians and nutritionists tend to label as causatives, such as the over-eating of many particular types of foods, poor nutrition, lack of exercise and a generally more active lifestyle, poor medical insurance and access to preventative healthcare issues, inadequate dental care, etc.

Trakar –

You’ve made clear your science –
I’ve made clear it’s likely been bought –
as Harvard’s other scientists also dispute it –

The animal-eating industry should be worried as more and more people
wake up to the nightmare of violence and sickness animal-eating/dairy represents.

Harvard scientists describe what I do, they don’t reject anything except the mischaracterizations some reporters and cranks with bizarre personal beliefs keep asserting with regard to the report and the science in general.

As to industrial meat, dairy and poultry, I doubt if our opinions are as far apart on these topics as you seem to imagine.

Where we differ is in that I believe that farming and ranching can be done ethically, environmentally compatibly, sustainably, and that the health issues resulting from the over-eating (too often of anutritious foods), sedentary life style, and toxic exposures can be dealt with without abstaining from the breeding, raising, harvesting and consumption of meat, dairy and eggs.

I don’t object to people taking personal stands and making personal choices about what they want to eat and don’t want to eat or believe and disbelieve. Ultimately, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but science should always be referenced and available for review as the state of knowledge is always in flux with new evidence and considerations often changing and evolving our understandings of the world around us.

Harvard scientists are being criticized by Harvard scientists –
as I very clearly pointed out to you –

Domestication of animals will never be ethical – nor can it be done without
violence – it is what it’s always been – EXPLOITATION of another species.

You’re also ignoring the reality that animal-eating/domestication of animals has
a huge negative impact on the planet – Global Warming.

And you continue to recommend artery clogging meats, dairy, eggs – why?

When the people understand that what they eat effects their overall survival on
this planet, I think they’ll finally get the message –

Again, there is “science” and there is “weird science” – the latter paid for by those
who profit from exploitation of animal-life which goes on every day –
See: Factory Farming

Trakar –

For any here who, like you, are unaware or unconcerned with the EXPLOITATION
of animals – or the harm that animal eating can do to humans and the planet –

here’s some of the latest from Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine –

No more chemical testing on animals – !!

EPA Announces Plan to End Animal Testing

The lives of hundreds of thousands of mice, rabbits, and other mammals will be spared thanks to a new directive by the Environmental Protection Agency. The agency is eliminating all chemical testing on mammals by 2035, and the tests will begin to be phased out long before then!

The Physicians Committee is leading a broad group of health experts speaking out against privately funded articles in the Annals of Internal Medicine that urge individuals continue their current consumption levels of red and processed meat—despite the fact that these products are associated with cancer and other major health problems.
