One Year Later: We Still Don’t Know How Many Shot by Police

Kanya Bennett

One year ago today, the White House released The Final Report of the President’s Task Force on 21st Century Policing 116 pages of recommendations meant to address the epidemic of killings of unarmed Black and brown people by the police officers sworn to protect them. This absence of gov't. action is understandable given its nefarious collusion with the so-called "security" forces.
They're going to need them when the scat hits the fan and the NDAA rears its ugly head. It's also profitable for them to salt the racial social wound as division weakens the opposition.
People, ombudsmen and rights organizations must vociferously demand that authorities begin to assume their responsibilities; otherwise, we're cooked.
