Will Biden stand up for the “human values” that Sanders CLEARLY states regarding true peace and justice in Israel and the world? If he did, he would acquire more votes than he would lose - NOW is the time.

No Bernie–because of the facts on the ground a one state solution for both people with equal rights needs to happen.

Agreed - just my way of emphasizing how he champions the oppression and is controlled by AIPAC and the masse media disinformation news networks and certainly on this subject no different from Trump. Sanders supporters need some justification to vote for this guy over Trump. … as you suggest this probably won’t be one …

Bravo! YES! Palestinian lives do matter but they have not mattered to a succession of US administrations, especially the current craven Israeli lap-dog sycophant and racist trump regime! Together they Are a large part of world-wide racism, wars of choice, brutality toward civilians, and oppression!

We MUST also remember tomorrow, June 8, is the anniversary of the 1967 Israeli sneak-attack on The USS Liberty that killed and/or wounded over 200 American sailors and has been covered-up ever since by both Israel and the sycophant US government! The survivors - US sailors - have been silenced unto this day to serve Israeli interests, NOT truth! The truth of who our “great ally” is must be exposed - their attacks continue in one form or another to this day!

It won’t work. As ongoing events show, the only “one-state solution” is the one we are already headed toward - a state where Arabs are a permanent underclass or denied citizenship altogether.

Antisemitism is the socialism of fools.

This might be progress, the first step to any remediation is admitting there is a problem.

Israel may win the battle but most likely not the war. They would be better off to find a peaceful solution and stop the barbarity they impose on their neighbors.

If you’re not Caroline Casey (weaver of context from KPFA’s Visionary Activist show), you’re her double-ganger or something: mystical etymology, very tasty – and also good for you!

Support of Nazi rule in Israel, supported by US Nazis, apparently has its appeal–while it is riding high. Best not to forget what can happen to Nazi regimes once their horrors become too much: they get crushed, and a few of their worst get hanged. Eventually.

Agreed, and if he wasn’t acting the sheepdog (don’t want to be known as Nader by a bunch of corporatist fascists) role, he probably wouldn’t have lost the support of those who once ardently and earnestly followed his lead. I still admire the man, personally, but will never trust or follow him or anyone he endorses again. He isn’t Nader, merely a weak old man more interested in his legacy among those who hate him than among those who loved him.

That new wall around the people’s White House will make a good place to display the heads of those who forget that the people rule America, not the managers we hire to take care of the paperwork while we are busy with more important matters.

when I read that, I see: “Bad thing (antisemitism) is the Good thing (socialism) of people who know better but still act against their best understandings (fools).”

Please help me to understand more clearly what exactly you meant to convey.

I must in all conscience repeat and add to my comment to urge ALL to recognize the June 8, 1967 anniversary of the Israeli attack on the USS Liberty, the killing of 34 US sailors and the wounding of 173 in an intentional effort to sink the Liberty that failed. NEVER FORGET!

Findings of the Independent Commission of Inquiry into the Israeli Attack on USS Liberty, the Recall of Military Rescue Support Aircraft while the Ship was Under Attack, and the Subsequent Cover-up by the United States Government

Capitol Hill, Washington, D.C.

October 22, 2003

Admiral Thomas H. Moorer, United States Navy, (Ret.)
Former Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff

General Raymond G. Davis, United States Marine Corps, (MOH)*
Former Assistant Commandant of The Marine Corps

Rear Admiral Merlin Staring, United States Navy, (Ret.)
Former Judge Advocate General Of The Navy

Ambassador James Akins, (Ret.)
Former United States Ambassador to Saudi Arabia

We, the undersigned, having undertaken an independent investigation of Israel’s attack on USS Liberty, including eyewitness testimony from surviving crewmembers, a review of naval and other official records, an examination of official statements by the Israeli and American governments, a study of the conclusions of all previous official inquiries, and a consideration of important new evidence and recent statements from individuals having direct knowledge of the attack or the cover up, hereby find the following:

  1. That on June 8, 1967, after eight hours of aerial surveillance, Israel launched a two-hour air and naval attack against USS Liberty, the world’s most sophisticated intelligence ship, inflicting 34 dead and 173 wounded American servicemen (a casualty rate of seventy percent, in a crew of 294);

  2. That the Israeli air attack lasted approximately 25 minutes, during which time unmarked Israeli aircraft dropped napalm canisters on USS Liberty’s bridge, and fired 30mm cannons and rockets into our ship, causing 821 holes, more than 100 of which were rocket-size; survivors estimate 30 or more sorties were flown over the ship by a minimum of 12 attacking Israeli planes which were jamming all five American emergency radio channels;

  3. That the torpedo boat attack involved not only the firing of torpedoes, but the machine-gunning of Liberty’s firefighters and stretcher-bearers as they struggled to save their ship and crew; the Israeli torpedo boats later returned to machine-gun at close range three of the Liberty’s life rafts that had been lowered into the water by survivors to rescue the most seriously wounded;

  4. That there is compelling evidence that Israel’s attack was a deliberate attempt to destroy an American ship and kill her entire crew; evidence of such intent is supported by statements from Secretary of State Dean Rusk, Undersecretary of State George Ball, former CIA director Richard Helms, former NSA directors Lieutenant General William Odom, USA (Ret.), Admiral Bobby Ray Inman, USN (Ret.), and Marshal Carter; former NSA deputy directors Oliver Kirby and Major General John Morrison, USAF (Ret.); and former Ambassador Dwight Porter, U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon in 1967;

  5. That in attacking USS Liberty, Israel committed acts of murder against American servicemen and an act of war against the United States;

  6. That fearing conflict with Israel, the White House deliberately prevented the U.S. Navy from coming to the defense of USS Liberty by recalling Sixth Fleet military rescue support while the ship was under attack; evidence of the recall of rescue aircraft is supported by statements of Captain Joe Tully, Commanding Officer of the aircraft carrier USS Saratoga, and Rear Admiral Lawrence Geis, the Sixth Fleet carrier division commander, at the time of the attack; never before in American naval history has a rescue mission been cancelled when an American ship was under attack;

  7. That although Liberty was saved from almost certain destruction through the heroic efforts of the ship’s Captain, William L. McGonagle (MOH), and his brave crew, surviving crewmembers were later threatened with “court-martial, imprisonment or worse” if they exposed the truth; and were abandoned by their own government;

  8. That due to the influence of Israel’s powerful supporters in the United States, the White House deliberately covered up the facts of this attack from the American people;

  9. That due to continuing pressure by the pro-Israel lobby in the United States, this attack remains the only serious naval incident that has never been thoroughly investigated by Congress; to this day, no surviving crewmember has been permitted to officially and publicly testify about the attack;

  10. That there has been an official cover-up without precedent in American naval history; the existence of such a cover-up is now supported by statements of Rear Admiral Merlin Staring, USN (Ret.), former Judge Advocate General of the Navy; and Captain Ward Boston, USN, (Ret.), the chief counsel to the Navy’s 1967 Court of Inquiry of Liberty attack;

  11. That the truth about Israel’s attack and subsequent White House cover-up continues to be officially concealed from the American people to the present day and is a national disgrace;

  12. That a danger to our national security exists whenever our elected officials are willing to subordinate American interests to those of any foreign nation, and specifically are unwilling to challenge Israel’s interests when they conflict with American interests; this policy, evidenced by the failure to defend USS Liberty and the subsequent official cover-up of the Israeli attack, endangers the safety of Americans and the security of the United States." More of this official record follows and all may be found hers: ~http://www.gtr5.com/evidence/moorer.htm

This record and indictment is not ancient history but a prelude and example of Israeli attacks and subversion of US politics, elections and foreign policy in different forms and guises that continues to this day!

REMEMBER THE LIBERTY on the anniversary June 8 - tomorrow - and who attacked her and with premeditation killed and wounded so many and the official US cover-up that continues!

No, actually. He will not. If he says he does, he will be lying.

Joe Biden is pretty much a known quantity because he has made enormous commitments to enable his corruption. Considering circumstances, one might well wish to imagine he were different or that his situation were different, but neither is the case. If he is to take action, the first actions involve calls to funders and to affiliates in mutual thrall.

Someone like Biden is the visible fruit of a network of corruption that has to be rooted out or dismembered if one is to terminate its dysfunction. Hoping that he will do something more than slightly different than he has, more than an adjustment to maintain the profits of corrupt enterprise, is pointless.

This is not just Joe Biden, though he is an example par excellence because there just does not appear to be any other quality to him other than the impression that he gives of pedophilia and sexual aggression. We are going to have to apply a principle something like this to a lot of less outwardly offensive types.

Your vulgar comment is a disservice to the many righteous people in the Jewish community who have said “Never Again” to Fascism, aimed at them or done in their name. And it’s disrespectful to Bernie Sanders himself who is a damn fine example of a human and Jewish person, who lost family in the holocaust. Antisemetic trolling is particularly unwelcome here amongst thinking progressives. GTFO.

And where, pray tell, on what land are the Palestinians supposed to build their homeland? As it stands the land has all but been gobbled up and partitioned and if somehow you can remove all those settlers from so-called occupied lands (we can argue that it is all occupied land as is US America) do you think then, using your logic, the same types will tolerate a separate Palestinian Nation to reside in peace next to them? Are you suggesting the Palestinians “can go and live in any one of those ‘other’ Arab states” as an old Jewish friend said to me when I asked her where are they supposed to go? And the Jews in Israel, where are they going to go-back to Europe after the Holocaust? And for us in US America, as we live on occupied land ourselves, and must needs understand that we have no place to go to either as other nations do not want us, and facing a similar conundrum, we have the responsibility to press for and agitate for an end to US Empire and the end of all financial ties with Israel that we can get busy re-creating a new nation that values all lives equally.

This might be a really good time to read and reflect on Confronting Empire, interviews of Eqbal Ahmad by David Barsamian. Read especially the one Think Critically And Take Risks on the partition of India. It was and continues to be a blood bath. A people that have lived side by side before the European zionist invasion and the fact that Jews have co-existed side by side in not just Arab nations but in Africa, India and even Asia tells me we can co-exist. We might also look at Ladakh where two religious groups lived in harmony until India’s interference. We also, of course, have Belgium as a model shared equally by Flemish and French speakers.

Now, we can argue if a return after 3,000 years is ok especially when you have so become European but will that change anything now? Jews, as you surely are aware, have suffered unspeakable crimes at the hands of Europe and Russia’s pogroms. They are traumatized and reactive. Their safety needs to be assured.

To make a one-state solution workable US America must cut off all financial assistance to Israel, the world community needs to be engaged in sending UN Peacekeepers to Israel-Palestine until the transformation into a truly democratic nation which will take some generations. None of these peacekeepers should be representatives from former colonial powers.
