Peace Is a Word That the West Has Taken From the Afghans

Find myself considering a double entendre in the title of the article by Vijay Prashad. One etymological and the other extractive. The west benefited from the sciences of the ancient Asian peoples. Then the predatory construct of empire and capital blended with the worst despots from that region and Voila - welcome to the 21st century where the good in our societies comes from the ‘common people’ despite the tyranny of despots.
The west must impoverish the majority of domestic residents in order create brainwashed young people to suck into the institutionalized killing machine - of course with that final redoubt of despots: “patriotism”.

The race is on to see which empire gloms the great mineral resources of places like Afghanistan, Venezuela and the Congo.

These three look like Star Wars “Storm Troopers.” The bad guys.

And if we don’t own it, we will kill you for it. Our soldiers are signing up to be bill collectors of a sort.
