Pentagon Admits It Underreported Civilian Deaths in Iraq and Syria

Nadia Prupis, staff writer

The U.S. Pentagon has vastly under-reported civilian deaths from airstrikes in Iraq and Syria—by half.

According to new figures released Wednesday by U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), 119 civilians died since bombing against the Islamic State (ISIS) began in 2014, an update that now includes an additional 64 deaths between November 2015 and September 2016.

This is how propaganda work's . Deliberately understate the numbers killed and stick to that number as long as possible.

When those numbers no longer possible do a "rigorous review" and increase that number.

A 100 percent increase in a falsely and deliberately understated base number is not a great increase.

The illusion of due diligence is created. The new number is likely 100 times less than actual or more but few question it as they want to feel those higher numbers admitted to due to their pressure and that such tactics are effective.

It a con.
